That is great. So much better than just one or two weeks and you having to go back and ask. You now have breathing space. Rest and family time now seems to be the way forward looking at the supportive crew on here.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
This sounds like a wise plan and glad you put it in motion
hopefully after a few weeks of rest you have some head space to look at what you want to do to have a better work life balance and a happier jobDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thank you LadyWithAPlan - this trying to relax business is much harder than I rememberedI know it has only been a few days but I am still finding myself very anxious, with brain fog, tension headaches and my short-term memory remains shot. I feel this might take some time to resolve itself.Still, I have experienced a few small positives. I got to watch a favourite film all the way through in one sitting for the first time ever and could just about follow the familiar plot. I have also managed to make a couple of minor medical appointments that I have been delaying for over a year. Other than that? Minimal amounts of exercise, cooking a bit more and hanging out with Mrs E and the kids. I have also listed a couple of items on eBay and managed somewhere IRO 3 Prolific surveys.I have seen my pay slip for the end of the month and thankfully it's more than sufficient to mean no money worries or additional frugality necessary until June at the absolute earliest. Our application to move to IO for 6 months has been accepted and this will run from June.Other than that the sun is out and the neighbourhood is quiet, so I mustn't grumble. Off to relax now, headache incoming.13
