I am having Club Lloyds current account.

Can i open another Club Lloyds current account, using the current account switching service, and close my Metro Bank current account to get the £100 switch bonus?

No, you can't open another Club Lloyds account.  It's one single and one joint per person. So if you have one single Club account already you can't open another. Unless you firstly downgrade the original Club account to a normal account.

(some people do seem to be able multiples somehow, but most can't, and the terms are clear, only one!)
    Thanks.
I am having Club Lloyds current account, and I downgrade to a normal current account.

And then apply a New Club Lloyds account, using the current account switching service, and close my Metro Bank current account to get the £100 switch bonus?

Based on my experience with the last Lloyds switch offer, existing customers can downgrade their existing CL account and open a new one for the incentive. Once the payment is made, you can "downgrade" the new CL to a Classic account, and then re-upgrade your old CL account again. Any CL-only products (eg. CC, regular savers, etc) are unaffected as the terms only require you to be a CL customer at the time you open the account, not for the duration of the your time holding them.
Thanks for the advice. Did you downgrade the new account and upgrade the old one as soon as you received the cashback? Did you get new cards for upgrades/downgrades, as the CL debit card has Club on it? I am worrying that if cards need to be reissued for upgrades/downgrades, you would have 4 new debit cards issued in a short period of time, which would draw attention. Did you have any retribution as soulsaver had?

From memory I downgraded my existing account and opened a new CL account on the same day, electing to switch into the new account as a part of the process. I downgraded the 2nd account after the incentive was paid and then re-upgraded my 1st account again a few days later (it's my main bank account otherwise I would've just left things as they were). I don't recall getting issued new cards, etc. and there's been no "consequences" (for lack of a better word) - both accounts remain open.

im trying to open a lloyds account and when it comes to the switch account bit ive tried 2 different donor accounts, one a halifax and one a nationwide and keep getting the following message, no idea whats going on, ive def entered the correct details and both donor accounts were not joint accounts, anyone else encountering this issue?

    We cannot switch this account

We’ve checked your old account and it cannot be switched. Check on your bank statement and debit card that:

    1. The sort code and account number you provided for your old account are correct.
    2. Your name, address and date of birth on your old account match your new account.
    3. If your old account is a joint account then your new account must be joint and both names need to be correct.

I am having the same problem trying to switch from Monzo.

I found Monzo incredibly picky as far as your name is concerned. They have you registered with exactly the name(s) from the photo ID you used during the application. If your name(s) at Lloyds vary, Monzo will reject the switch. You’d have to take your photo ID into a Lloyds Branch and get your account updated. Then re-request the switch

after failing to open a lloyds account yesterday I moved onto santander and their offer, I managed to open an account and use one of the donor accounts I tried to use for lloyds, it worked with no issue at all, so I can only assume the problem is on lloyds end, anyone else having this issue?

Just received a "switch cannot be progressed" text.  Need to phone them to find out why.  Tesco !!

My fault, fat fingers typing in the Tesco debit card number :s trying again !
One slight glitch calling the number on the text ...... if you are a Halifax customer press 1, if you are a BOS customer press 2 ..... err no Lloyds option ?  No problems pressing 1 :)
Just received text from Tesco that account in process of switching.
