It won't be, and the Monzo account history would confirm that, I've seldom had more than £20 in it, but it is used regularly, and has two small direct debits set up just in case a switching incentive beckoned! Or perhaps my income is too low (part time job, retiring next year).
Bear in mind a decline can be generated by a technical fault/algorithm and, if you're determined, can be still usually done by a phone call and/or branch visit.

We cannot switch this account
We’ve checked your old account and it cannot be switched. Check on your bank statement and debit card that:
- The sort code and account number you provided for your old account are correct.
- Your name, address and date of birth on your old account match your new account.
- If your old account is a joint account then your new account must be joint and both names need to be correct.
Everything I've entered is correct. My Monzo debit card shows my first name and surname, no title or initials, although the Lloyds application asks for first, middle and surnames, as shown on my passport and driving licence. Any suggestions welcome!1 -

Anyone who downgraded their existing Club Lloyds manage to get paid the bonus for opening and switching into a new one?

I did just this during the previous incentive and got paid - not eligible this time around so I haven't tried but there's nothing in the terms to stop you from doing it.

I've read through all the conditions and am still unclear on one point. I've never had an account that required a minimum monthly pay-in, I know the Club Lloyds account requires £1500 a month to be paid in to avoid a £3 monthly fee, but does that mean the account balance has to, at least at one point, need to be £1500, or can a total of £1500 be paid in over the course of the month in smaller instalments, which can also be withdrawn before paying more in? As an example, can I put £500 in, spend or transfer some of that, then add £700 when I'm paid, again spend or transfer some of it, and pay in another £300 before the end of the month... £1500 in total, but the account balance may never have gone higher than £700ish? Apologies if it's made clear in the conditions and I've missed it.

There's no minimum balance.
There's no need for the 1500 to be in one lump.
You could pay in £1, take it out and repeat 1500 times if you like!2 -
