Yes but on Monzo.mab3000 said:Had a couple of refunds recently on my chase debit card. In the past when I had a refund back onto the card. they took back the cashback I earned at the same time as the refund, as I would expect. However with my recent refunds this hasn’t happened. Anyone else have similar experiences?0 -
Losing my patience with them, they cant seem to understand that its accrued cashback on November terms, they are claiming it counts for December, so in that case why didnt I get the full whack of cashback? Been an hour of to and fro now.la531983 said:Has anyone ever had an issue whereby a transaction late in one month is being counted towards the cashback for the following one?
Made a large transaction on the morning of 30th November for £400, I got £3.87 cashback as it maxed out the November quota. We are now on the 11th December, Chase are claiming I have accrued £13.35 cashback so far this month, problem is they are counting that late November £400 transaction (with the £3.87 cashback) in the total.
They are opening a case but wondered if anyone else ever had this issue.0 -
It is the only app-based bank that used that as their method of verification. I was frustrated because the ID checks left me unable to access my account for a day while I waited for them to manually check the ID which I wasn't expecting. Luckily, switching over my other bank apps was more straightforward.flaneurs_lobster said:
Is this not a robust and sensible procedure to protect your money? This account is app only, you don't have online or branch access to fall back on if you were to lose access to your phone.Angelica123 said:Got a new phone. Can't believe I have to re-do ID documents to set up the app on a new phone.
It's also restricted to a single device, if bad people were able to easily impersonate you (say by a simple SIM swap) you would be unable to set up another device to access your account.
BTW, have you set a SIM lock code?

Could you still use the card? Interested to know as I will need a new phone soon and cant remember what the procedure is.Angelica123 said:

Yes I could still use the card. I personally keep my cash in Chase savings account and transfer into my current account whenever I need to make a purchase (keeping minimal amounts in the Chase current) - hence why it was annoying not to be able to access the app.la531983 said:

Got an email saying I needed to update my information under "My Profile", a few "know your customer" type questions. Asked for gross annual income which I don't think was in the application for the account and a bit hard off the top of my head.

I think it's just general KYC stuff now to ask for income, as every bank pretty much knows mine now.
Another thing that annoyed me was the question about spending. I said I'd transfer £500 in each month because that's for cashback and the saver accounts, but if I said I was going to spend £0 with the account, it wouldn't properly save and end the questionnaire.0 -
Yes, I tried £0 to start as I thought the question mentioned how much "income" is going in and as the field has to be greater than 0 I added my monthly spends to £500 and put that for in/out.Maple08 said:I think it's just general KYC stuff now to ask for income, as every bank pretty much knows mine now.

I tried to pay something online at the weekend, received a notification to approve it in the app, and then Chase declined it. I've had an occasional decline from them in the past, so I decided to pursue it - contacted them by chat. They seemed to find it difficult to work out what the problem was, disappeared for half-an-hour and came back to say there was an issue with the card details provided to the merchant.
I can't see what the problem was. Everything is stored on my laptop, except the CVV and fields are auto-filled. The same details have worked before. I rarely get declines, but think I've had more from Chase than all my other bank accounts combined.
I'm not reassured by the decline, nor their response to it.0 -
Has anyone had any issues with Direct Debits with Chase? Do you see what’s coming out in advance? Thinking of moving my DD over to Chase.
Thank you in advance0
