I think I missed it, where does it say paying bills using direct debit or by bank transfer/standing order are excluded from cashback?
This is why I pointed out literature is not clear on the above, incl the 3 common categories of payment most of us make every month, I couldn't see it mentioned.I'm aware that they're revising how it works from April but don't think that bit's changing.1% cashback on the things you love
From little treats to your next holiday abroad, get 1% cashback on your everyday debit card spending for a whole year.

Does anyone know whether mortgage, council tax & utility payment switch to direct debit are covered in 1% Chase cash back scheme? That is easily a tenner to 20 for anyone in the current weather, init?
They are showing that £10 as qualifying for cashback? That means if you pay mortgages or bills by standing order or bank transfer (where there is no merchant category) - in theory you are eligible for cashback atleast for a year?0 -

Thanks for confirming no cap on cashback until end of this month.0 -
Marchitiello said:Lot’s of confusion here.. Qualifying for Cashback means that you meet the criteria for earning cashback on your Debit Card spend, not that the FP has earned you any cashback… the criteria is £500 pm from April but I believe that for new customer that signed up just before the change, may still be cashback for a year on Debit Card spend (main difference is that in the new customer offer there was no pay in requirements and the cashback monthly value was not capped - now £15 pm)
For everyone's benefit, basically you will only get 1% cashback for 1 year for:
* point of sale transactions (for e.g supermarkets/restaurants )
* online transactions (e.g holidays, amazon, other purchases etc )
* apps and digital wallets (e.g netflix using apple/google/pay )
Note: Exclusions will still apply at individual transaction level - see list Cashback Exclusions | Chase UK
After the first year, the cashback is capped at £15 per month.0 -

I've just transferred £500 into my Chase account (and straight back out again), this time I did get a fairly instant 'You have qualified for cashback' notification.0

I am guessing you will have to transfer some back so you can spend it and get the cashback ?0
