The Email I got says..

Current account interest will arrive in April 2023.
It means you'll earn 1% AER interest on the money you have in your Chase current account. We'll calculate your interest daily – based on your current account balance – and we'll pay it at the beginning of the following month.

Which, to me, implies interest will be earned throughout April and the first payment will be on the 1st May.

Not what they have published on their support pages.

I spoke to their customer support, who said:

• This offer will start within this April and you will receive a notification once it goes live.
• You can enable marketing information from us so you will receive notifications in rewards and services as soon as it is available and offers specifically made for you. Here's how: 
• Step 1: Tap on the person icon on the top left hand corner of the app home screen 
• Step 2: Tap "Settings" 
• Step 3: Tap "Marketing" 
• Step 4: Toggle on which options you prefer 
• Step 5: Tap home icon to go back to main screen

Yes, directly from an external a/c and then send it straight back if you want, but a payment in today will now only qualify for cashback in May.

Presumably it doesn't need to be £500 in one transaction? So £200 a week would still qualify for the next month?

Yes. That worked for me - paying in more than one payment in a month.

1% is better than nothing - but not enough to tempt me to use Chase as my main current account. My trusted old 123 Lite in combination with CHIP instant access still trumps it for me.

If Chase ever offer CASS, cashback on DDs, the market leading savings rate, and auto-refill from their savings account, or something along those lines, I will reconsider.

Anyone else on Android has this problem?

I talked to their CS and they said it's a problem on their end and are "working hard on fixing it". That was 2 days ago. Still not working. I tried to force-stop the app as they told me, I cleared the cache, later even cleared all data and had to re-submit my ID and log in again. Nothing has helped so far.

The app is 2.6.0 version which is the latest one, correct?

I know it sounds a bit naff, but have you tried restarting your phone, as opposed to turning off and turning on again?  That cleared a different problem I had with the Chase app.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. They say the issue is on their end and affects some customers. It's still not working.
