Well I was at my wit's end about the 3rd payment which took over 2.5 days at the time when they were talking about 3-5 weeks to open new accounts and when they didn't either respond to multiple messages or promised to phone me but didn't and it was only resolved by a final phone call from me to them. Yes I was transferring to a higher interest rate but that would only be a few £masonic said:As for compensation for distress and inconvenience, what was the actual impact? Were you trying to move savings from one account to another to benefit from a better interest rate and were delayed from doing so? If so, it would probably fall into the "under £100" band used by the FOS when calculating awards.

Tesco and a few other retailers have delayed banking but it seems using your card through Google pay makes it come out instantly.returnofghandi said:masonic said:More likely explanation is it is the delayed reporting of an earlier transaction. @returnofghandi have you spent any money in Tesco recently?
I keep a record of all transactions for the current month but going by my Tesco clubcard account I found the a transaction was made on 30 May for the amount! What a palaver!! I then dug out old receipts in the shredder queue and found the actual receipt! I can't get used to this Slow Banking stuff! 😡0 -
weird though that only Chase customers have reported the issueswaledale_one said:

It's also weird that I shop at Tesco almost daily, that a 'delayed' transaction has only ever happened once and only with Chase 🤔.
Sorry! Did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours!0 -
I feel like I should go visit Tesco and try this out as Airtime Rewards have kindly added it as a cashback option, even though I never shop there, as furthest supermarket from my house.0

I had the same issue with Tesco / Chase recently. What it did mean is all my round-ups were doubled, as they appeared on the date of the original transaction, and then again the date the transaction appeared on the app a few days later along with the cashback.returnofghandi said:Daliah said:

I assume you wouldn't be able to but has anyone been able to deposit cash (through a different retail bank) into their Chase current account?0

Cash cannot be deposited into your Chase account(s). If you have another bank account which allows cash deposits, you can make a normal bank transfer once you have made your deposit. Chase will not know, or care, that you deposited the money as cash.chris112 said:I assume you wouldn't be able to but has anyone been able to deposit cash (through a different retail bank) into their Chase current account?
Similar applies to cheques.1
