I'm having a problem mentioned on page 15 where I'm unable to open account and receive a message that says "We can't open an account for you, thanks for your interest".
Does anyone know how to clear this message, or open an account via an alternative means?0 -

How long do Faster Payments take?Provided the sending and receiving bank/building society are Direct Participants of Faster Payments, payments are usually available almost immediately, although they can sometimes take up to two hours.0 -

"As a minimum, all financial institutions in the UK must abide by the Payment Services Directive (PSD) - this states that any payments made by mobile, internet or phone banking (including standing orders) must arrive by the end of the following business day at the latest. "

Well like i said ive never experienced anything over 1 minute
Usually its around 10 seconds
So 30 minutes in my book is ridiculous in this day and age unless its a big sum0 -

When I first started using Chase/, FPI used to take several minutes, though usually not more than about 5. I'd sympathise with Chase, but I took a look at the change notes when one of the app updates was downloading/installing to see what changes were included. In that update they did say they were making things faster, so that things like FPI would appear almost instantaneous, and to be fair to them until yesterday it had. I was caught out yesterday, I know it was totally my own fault as I should have checked the funds had landed (or at least noticed I hadn't received a 'funds have landed in your account' notification) before tyring to pay using my Chase card (through Google pay). I'd been extolling the benefits of paying using technology to the merchant too, then could understand why my payment was being declined. It dawned on me at the third attempt, when I'd abandoned Google pay for the physical card and that too failed.
To rub salt into the wound it was several hours later that I started receiving notifications that the payment hadn't been made due to insufficient funds, and although only making three attempots before I switched to my Barclaycard I definitely got more than three notifications.
My payment in took around 45 minutes. It would be interesting to know what the issues were (I did notice that it also said in the app that rewards could not be viewed but were being tracked in the background) but of course we'll never find out.0
