Mine said i owe them £45 by 21st November and is now overdue

They haven't sent me a bill so wont be getting anything until I receive one
  • I now have both gas and electricity readings on my BG account and it looks like I can submit readings. No sign of any bills or indication of what I owe however.
  • Hi,
got my first bill from BG yesterday.
Electricity from 30/09 and gas from 21/10, no credit from PfP showing, so just have to wait.

I got bills from BG yesterday too.

    Electricity for 12/10 - 10/11
    Gas for 12/10 - 28/10

My switch away from them completed this week so I wasn't sure if the switch triggered the bills. I expect they'll update bills for 11/09 onwards at a later date when PFP have issued final bills.

No change here, except BG has sent me a letter last week suggesting I could set up a DD.

Seriously though, given that PfP had approx 97,000 customers - not a huge number - when they went belly up, how hard is it to generate final bills after 11 weeks?

The initial report from the administrators linked on the previous page of this thread made for some very interesting reading.  Basically PFP was two companies but the lines were very blurred between them so it's apparently not been an easy task and they've had to involve BG for some reason too.
  • Today I received an email from british gas telling me "You're on one of our energy plans that needs smart meters, it was part of the agreement when you signed up."
Anyone know much about this ? Had the same email ?
I didn't choose british gas, I was placed with them after PfP went PoP.  I would rather not have a smart meter.

I would expect that's just some sort of IT brain fart or something.  As you say you didn't choose BG or the tariff.  There are tariffs that mandate smart meters, but you're correct in saying the customer must accept the T&Cs of this, and the Price Promise April 22 isn't one of them. I'd ignore it, if more come get in touch with them politely informing them of that.
  • From 1st of October I am with British Gas, after PFP Energy ceased trading.

I have got Price Promise Apr 2022. (It is an only electricity household.)
    Day unit rate24.077p per kWh
    Night unit rate12.666p per kWh
    Standing charge24.199p per day

What far do you get? Is everybody else got the same tariff?
No final bill from PFP Energy as of yet.

Yes everyone ex-PFP has the same tariff with BG. The actual charges vary slightly based on which region you’re in, but they will be similar. The tariff is in line with the Ofgem price cap.

I don’t think anybody has had a final bill yet from PFP. Some accounts did show final bills a couple of weeks back but they were quickly removed so it’s likely they were a test or something similar.
