PfP Energy ceases trading - here's everything you need to know

Does your meter reading history on the PFP site give any clues i.e. does the last reading correlate date and figure wise to any opening readings you've given British Gas?penny_less said:My PfP account, which originally told me I was £39.99 in debit, now tells me a payment is due on 24/11 of £51.88. No mention of why or what it is. The BG account is set up as far as I can see, but has no actions on it.1 -
I think the final bills that appeared briefly had been calculated on the wrong meter readings. Mine was for about a month after they ceased to trade. I was quite happy to get cheap leccy for a bit longer but it looks like it may not be the case.

PFP emailed me last week asking for a reading with which to calculate my final bill. I gave them the one they already had, as it's been used by BG as my opening read. Maybe this is the start of them calculating final final bills?1

The meter readings are the same as on the BG site, so maybe things are starting to move.tux900 said:

But there’s no explanation as to what this payment would be for, ie a specific date range, including/excluding the original £39.99. I’ll carry on doing nothing until I get a proper full and final bill from them.0 -
I got my first bill from BG, paper one. I don't see anything on my BG account, because there's something wrong with it. BG gas bill is for usage from 11/10 until 04/11. It's smart meter reading, which seems accurate. I can't confirm it, because I don't have reading for these days, but it falls withing other readings I took.

Email today from BG telling me the "Great news" that I can now log in to my account to set up a D/D (until now I've been greeted with a 'Technical problem' message whenever I've tried). I click the link, try to log in and am met with the same 'Technical problem' message.
My PfP account shows meter readings but no statements. I had a credit balance more than sufficient to cover any bill, cancelled my direct debit because there was no way I was paying money to a defunct company and they charged me £12 penalty for the pleasure. I'll never see that again.0 -
I get the feeling you've not been through a SoLR transfer before. You should see your credit balance and your £12 in due course.MisterPleasant said:I had a credit balance more than sufficient to cover any bill, cancelled my direct debit because there was no way I was paying money to a defunct company and they charged me £12 penalty for the pleasure. My PfP account shows that I owe £12.60 by 29 November but no bills showing. It is not possible for me to owe them money due to the large credit balance I had. That has vanished, like my older bills. The telephone number tells me to call British Gas. What a mess.0

Ditto - £6.98 - next due on Monday 29th November , was £102.50 credit yesterday...1

£407 in credit, no sign of it in my pfp account anymore. Still can't login in to the British Gas website due to a 'Technical problem' message whenever I try.... and I thought Scottish Power was bad!
