Well, just about to put the rice on - have made Chicken Tikka Masala (yellow stickered chicken, some onion, peppers and a cheap sauce from Lidl with some fresh garlic).

Glad I was able to communicate with you today from work - just a pity some of the formatting things won't work or the thanks button.

Got my Christmas cards out of the loft (yes, I have been up there again!) and hope to start writing tonight. I had forgotten what nice cards I had as I bought them just after Christmas last year in the sales. Only problem is will have to check them with the envelope sizer I have so I don't pay too much postage. I haven't a clue about last posting dates. I have to send to the US and Hong Kong - I hope I am still in time. Having printed off the envelopes will be a big help. Emma - doing my special cards first!!!

Will pop back later and hope I am not on multiple posts tonight.

    Take care everyone

Grannybroon, I meant to reply to you earlier but forgot :o

I have the same problem with formatting on my home PC. When you click 'reply', before you type anything, press CTRL and F5 together and it should work.

I have to do this to use smilies, links, thanks, posting pictures, bold, italics - well everything really  :D

That's why I only thank people who mention me in their posts, I'm not ignoring everyone else but having to Ctrl and F5 each time takes aaaaaaages.

Evening all - You didn't really think I was getting at you GB?

Well - I could not sort out any more while in chaos, so the sorting stopped while I tidied and cleaned the room. Now to start again, (its in one big pile) but at least I have the odd surface to use.

DH worked on moving the electrical sockets, but struggling to find the channel to put the LAN and Telephone and Aerial socket down, the air was slightly blue to say the least. Why does he have to sigh every 20 seconds. The power was off while doing this, hence the clean up above. He's really good a doing things, but always looks on the dark site, i.e. things will always go wrong (and they do) while I am a they will always go right person. [STRIKE](Or is it me who is always right:rolleyes: )[/STRIKE]

Trying to decide whether to make the newsletter, write the cards, wrap the presents or carry on sorting paper.

    Have a good evening

  • I have finally managed to read through the thread, I usually do it at w**k but had the day off for my yearly visit to the Hospital.

Congratulations to PenPin on your anniversary.

Hillstep hope things went well for your mum.

Hello :hello: to everyone else and thank you for your warm welcome.

I am a bit down today, the appt didn't go as planned, I have an ankle problem that is ongoing. I have had 3 ops in 03, 04 and 05 - this one they said would last 10 yrs, well 3 yrs on and I need another one, am on the waiting list now but it should be end of Feb or early Mar 08.

I am not looking forward to the week on crutches but the 2 weeks off work will be nice! It is difficult to look after DS but now he is older he can help me!

I have to break the news to w**k tomorrow and that will go down like a lead balloon, ho hum!

I haven't started my Christmas cards or present wrapping yet, although I have them all. Am off to varnish my nails to cheer myself up.

Hugs to all who need them.

    Afternoon all
Thanks so much for your good wishes - they must have worked as I am not getting a warning and the lady concerned was really really sweet but i don't really feel any better as I know she was upset.

Tea tonight was gorgeous - a sort of veggie cheesecake thing - me and dd11 have eaten the whole enough-for-6 lot and are stuffed. She is watching and I am listening to the football. Lil_me has us flying in the living room tonight but we are too full to move

Suesy Sue - who is that darling cheeky chappy in your avatar - is it your ds - he is gorgeous
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Nothing to do with money saving or anything like that but just been 'googling' to try and find out about this fuel protest planned for Saturday.
We've arrange to do the 'santa run' to the grandchildren and call on my mum at the care home on Friday, coming back Sunday.
Is this going to affect us with getting petrol for the journey ? Can't seem to find where exactly these protests are going to be, Anyone know ?

Thanks donny gal. I'll have a look at that in the morning. Time to grab the sofa I think before OH thinks he can have it all.
