    Howdy Folks,

It's been overcast here with a few showers. DH is continuing to do well. The sorest part he says is where they took the bone. He's getting a few nice bumps happening now. Made the cake & cut in half and froze it. Dug up some more grass runners and replanted them. XDIL & DGS came up for about 2 hrs after his afternoon sleep.

Hillstep I hope they can fit the tube in your Mum. Thinking of you both.
PP Happy Anniversary. I think I would have given the toilet a miss today. :D
HH Apparently  here speaks the expert if you put neat vinegar on your windscreen at night it will stop the ice next morning. Try it and tell me if it works. ;)
Twink I hope your haircut is an improvement on your last one. :p:D

Moiliere & Donny I hope you get all your jobs done on your list. Well hope you all have a good day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning All

hillstep - hope everything goes ok with your mum.

    Mr & Mrs Pen-Pin - Happy Anniversary!!!!

Had a busy day flying around yesterday. Did a mini-shop at Mr T as I've loads of £5 off a £15 spend vouchers which need using up by Sunday. Going to get little bits all this week - will help with getting in the Christmas stuff.

Not feeling too good today as my asthma's playing up a bit. Thinking of leaving work a bit early and resting up a bit. Got to help my friend move her sofa out later, so will need all my puff!!!

It's so cold here today. I spent 20 minutes defrosting the car before coming to work. I think I hear the ketlle calling me for another cuppa:T

Yuk, the boss just walked in - why so early:eek: Thankfully they've gone again now.

    Hope everyone's ok

Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs PENPIN - have a great day!

N9EAV - you lucky duck! Have a wonderful holiday and think of us freezing to death back here!

DLB - I do write quite a few lists but then they all get lost in the piles of paperwork or on the noticeboard - it did help listing all that was in my mind that was keeping me awake, so I've devised a plan. I have just screwed a hook into the wall in the kitchen and one above my desk and I'll keep my lists hanging up in a bull-dog clip and no-one - but no-one - is allowed to interfere with them, on pain of death! I've also printed off my own calendar, as well, and that will be hands off to everyone else. I will definitely take five minutes out every night now and write out a list of what needs to be done the following day.

Well, DH has gone off with a mountain of food and two hats - he was freezing yesterday. He looks a bit like a Smurf with two hats on, but it's better than being cold all day.

As the Sky repair chappie is coming this morning, I'd better dust behind the telly, in case he needs to get there and I need to sort out the pile of knitting projects that are lurking in the sitting room as well. I've got several things on the go - it's no wonder I never seem to finish any - I'm determined to organise it today and try and concentrate on one project at a time.

Well, I've cleaned the bathroom and sorted out the pile of ironing to do - I'll do that when the Sky box is sorted out then I can watch something at the same time. I hope they don't have to replace the box - the last time they did and I lost lots of stuff that I'd recorded; having got Colin Firth well and truly recorded for posterity, I don't want to have to lose him again!

Well, I'd better get a wiggle on so will call in later.

Hilstep - I hope it goes well today for your Mum x

Had a late night last night but have sorted some lodgings out for DS1 about 20 mins walk from where he works!:j Its a room in a beautiful flat for £67 a week with just his food to find. The landlady was lovely and we all really got on so I am very relieved about it :T We are moving him in on Sunday. Makes me feel old my first born leaving home:eek: :D but I was also 17 when I left home.

I am about to work my long shift of 3o hours with a sleep-in included so wont be about much til tomorrow night once I've gone at about 10am.

    Hope you are all well

    Take care xxxx

    Morning all

hardly slept at all as I'm dreading w*rk. I have peed someone off badly and it's a disciplinary I think - my only one in 8 years there. I have written a letter of apology and will apologise in person and take it from there - nothing else I can do.
To cap it all I forgot that with mr T coming tonight there is not enough of anything for dd's lunch so she is oging to take a fortune to the school fruit shop and see what she can do - I am not her best friend at the moment.
Hlstep - good luck with Mum today
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Pennypincher.

    have a good day everyone

Happy wedding anniversary to Mr and Mrs PP  have a lovely day!

(((hugs))) - Hillstep hope your Mum manages the tube ok

N9eave - very jealous here, we love seaworld too! Have a great holiday!

Having a quiet few days here just pottering and hope to get the cards written today. Yesterday was a bit of a write off for me, I managed a couple of loads of washing but then had to go back to bed :o my legs felt like they were made from lead and a few of the other unwanted symptoms came back! . I tried to pace myself but definately overdid it at the Christmas markets and walked too far, so easy to do, but it was fab!:xmassmile very Christmassy in an old fashioned way, lots of beautiful glass baubles and candles and gingerbread and Gluwein, we bought lots of cookie cutters and tree ornaments :xmastree:as they are so lovely, dd bought a reindeer hat :rudolf:and I got a fetching set of red velvet antlers with bells on for the Christmas eve party. We also visited the Museum of chocolate (Lindt) and saw it being made and met the "master chocolatier" in his tall white hat just like the advert! Had a free sample which was yummy! :EasterBunWe then sat outside on the patio underneath heaters and with lovely red fleece blankets on the chairs and had a hot chocolate drink while overlooking the Rhine - wonderful! Managed to get lots of chocolate gifts in the shop including some diabetic chocs for our friend who was looking after Penny! We celebrated ds 30th birthday at a lovely restaurant just around the corner from the hotel so not too far to stagger back to!;)

Porridge for breakfast, lunch will be hm sweet potato soup and dinner will be a curry.

    Just found everybody on facebook!

    Have a good day!

    Catz x
