  • Morning all - drove OH to work this morning. Fun in the freezing cold. Hoping now to get all the cleaning done by midday then can relax in a nice hot bath and read a book. A nice nap might help later too.

    Good morning everyone,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY PP AND MR PP XXX

Hillstep - hope your mum gets on ok today xx

stefejb - hope all goes ok at work for you today xxx

taplady - glad you have found somewhere nice for your DS, it must be a relief that you have been able to help him, and know exactly where he will be - i also left home at 17!!!

Well, im feeling a lot happier today after everyones help and support yesterday, i know im not being silly, and what i need to do, so feel happy now ive made that decision. My mum is more than welcome, her partner is not, and if she isnt happy with that, then it will be her loss - she needs to understand that love and 'being there' is more important than gifts, money and stuff - buying some food does not make up for not spending time with me - or having to put up with her chap!!!

Today, i have the extra LO who didnt come last week, so a little extra for me today, which is greatly needed. I love looking after the LOs at the moment, i have a lovely selection of children, who are all well behaved and little sweethearts, so hopefully a nice day for us.

Need to finish off the christmas tree the LO and i started to make yesterday and get the BM on, but that will be done after the school run - being lazy today and driving, but it is SOOOO COLDDDD!!!! WM is already on, so will hang that up when we get back home.

Right, better go, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

catz - glad you had a lovely time in Colonge - im on facebook if you are there too!!!

    Nice and frosty here :D

Got the dentist at 4pm (just a check-up), apart from that I'm having a lazy day today so I might pop back later if I've decided to actually DO something lol.

  • Good morning everyone :santa2:

Should be my day off but I'm going into the office later to do another 4 hours overtime. I have racked up over 21 hours so far this month. :T Plan to take DS's bed to the tip first. He helped me dismantle it last night. I had a wee lump in my throat watching my "little boy" doing grown-up things. Sometimes I forget how grown up he really is (even though he is 6' tall now. :o ).

A cold and frosty day here - if the sun would only shine it would be my perfect type of day.

hilstep hope your DMum gets the tube fitted. (((( hugs )))) to you both.
Pen-Pin Happy anniversary to you and your DH.
taplady your son's new living arrangements sound perfect. Perhaps he could tell HHester's lodger exactly what a good lodger should be like. ;)
stefjb good luck today. I hope things aren't as serious as you imagine.
catznine what a lovely break you have had. Bet you are really in the Christmas mood now. :D
Catowen I didn't post yesterday but I read the thread. (((hugs))) to you. Your stepfather really overstepped the bounds of acceptable behaviour. i hope your mum keeps in touch with you though.
tru Your "lyrical" start to your posts has me smiling - I particularly love today's offering. :rotfl:

Now I need to go and raid the freezer to see what I will be cooking for dinner tonight then head to the tip.

    Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx

    Good Morning All

Had to endure scraping ice of the car! At least with the newer car being slightly smaller, I can actually scrape the whole windscreen now.

Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Penny Pincher have a lovely day!
(((hugs))) to Hillstep & your mum
catowen - pleased to hear you sound more positive today. Well done on the win by the way!

Im back at work today after my long week end off, still not 100% better, but I know if I throw a sickie, my name will be mud with the manager! She can be so two face!

We have our group family therapy session today at 4pm. Only thing is, allthough its for DS benefit, he wont be there, he's decided to do Badminton at school. So we will meet without him!

Savoury mince & mash for dinner later.
Best be off and get ready for work.
    Take care, Love Emma xxx

Hi all! glad you are feeling brighter Catowen;)

Catowen and Annieooklover - I think it will do him the world of good to get some independance. it is a beautiful flat , he's got a double room with TV and a hardwood floor and also has access to the internet, WM and kitchen and bathroom. There are a couple of local shops and a chippie so he wont starve:D . His bed linen is provided and the landlady said she will even do his washing if he wants!:T There are buses into Worcester every 20 mins which is where most of his friends are.

Stefjb - hope it goes ok for you at work today

Catz - the chocolate museum sounds great!:EasterBun :D

Off ro a btowse now, trying to finish reading the thread on OS things that only you do!

    take care x

  • Good morning:D

Rushing through this morning, the week starts to hot up from here. I have to go and buy all the veggies and a few extra bits, it's the old folks Christmas lunch tomorrow;) Will have to do some veg preparation tonight, because with so many, even with an 8am start tomorrow I'd never get it done. My friend and I like to push the boat out for them on this one so they have 4 courses.

stefejb, (((hugs))) to you, fingers crossed it won't be as bad as you fear.

taplady, you'll breathe easier now. It sounds as if he's landed a really nice lodging.

hilstep hope they manage to fit the feeding tube for your mum. Thinking of you all (((hugs)))

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs PP:beer:

twink, I'm sure you'll look even lovelier after your haircut. Take no notice of the *foreign one* she's just jealous;)

catowen, glad to hear you sounding so much brighter today. I do hope you can keep contact with your mum. Enjoy your littlies today:D

Haribo, hope you're still basking in your glory of 10,000 thanks and 3000 posts on the same day. That's some talent for drivel you have there:rotfl: :D :kisses3: (and stop messing with my posts, or I'll get Pink onto you!!!!!)

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all! And ((((HUGS)))) to everyone who needs them, especially Hilstep.

Not sure yet what I'll be doing today. DH will probably be going to visit his Mother in hosp, but I seem to be getting a sore throat and snuffly nose so don't think I'd better go - she's due to have an operation on her spine on Friday, so I'm sure the last thing she needs is a cold! I did take some echinacea last night and a Zinc & Vitamin C lozenge (yuck) and I think it's helped a bit. Will do a bit of gentle housework today I think, to leave some energy over for getting better. The Christmas tree needs putting up, but it's too heavy for me to bring downstairs so I think it can wait another day!
WM is about to go on, and washing-up to do but thankfully there's not much of that as we had fish and chips last night.:D

Catznine - you make sure you get plenty of rest today!

Churchmouse - good luck with all those veggies! Hope all goes well tomorrow, I'm sure it will be great.

Shez - :santa2: thought I'd give you a wave as I know you feel ignored sometimes - you are missed when you're not here though!

Csarina - lovely to see you back, we really missed you!

Sorry this is such a boring post but my head feels as if it's full of cotton wool this morning

    Thinking of you all

    Best wishes

    ivyleaf xx
