Good evening!
Happy birthday Round! I hope you have had a lovely day
Hugs to Natty, and coping vibes/speedy recovery for mummy Narc0 to Narc0
I had an unexpected day off today! I was due to have 1 little one, but he has a cold/cough and had a temperature. They kept him home and booked a PCR. It is doubtful that they will get the results before tomorrow, so unlikely I will have him again in the morning. Against my better judgement I accepted a child on Friday that I was told was a bit snotty. It was a settling in session of only 3 hours. She coughed & sneezed her way through the morning!! Lo & behold, the other child gets it! I know kids get colds, but in this day & age I need to try and protect them. It's so hard!I have reminded all parents about symptoms & the need for tests, or isolation. Parent of the snotty child has now text to say she will keep her home this week!
So today I set about stripping wallpaper in my bedroom! 1 and a half walls done. DH needs to paint the ceiling (I'm not good with ladders, and we have high ceilings!) I also did 3 loads of washing, which has been dried & folded. The bedroom has been reset, and vacuumed. It is a work in progress - but progress has been made!
Yesterday I managed to cut the grass at the allotment & harvest a few veggies. That is a few things off my list. Paperwork is still hanging around like a bad smell! One day I will be up straight with everything, and less overwhelmed....one day......
Hugs to those that need them, and restful sleep vibes!

Hello! Just squeezing in before tomorrow...happy birthday Round - hope you had a great day!
My laundry room looks a-may-zing. Just sayin'.
Tonnes of ironing done and some flingage too, so happy with that.
Off to Bedford now, so will catch up in the morning x10 -
GI it must be so hard for parents, especially if they have to work. Hard for you too trying to keep them safe.
Well done on the laundry room Dizzy.
Slept well after yesterdays stressful day. DS is feeling a bit better. Have put the recycling out, hung the washing out and put another load in. Will empty DW, shower, breakfast and off to the paid stuff.
Have a good Thursday all x10 -
Morning all xx
And thank you again for all my birthday wishes ❤
Nothing more got done yesterday - because it rained men!!! NN is having a new roof and most of the scaffolding came down my path because of NN's conservatory and other add ons. Lots of banging and suchlike. Then I looked up and there was another man in the garden...with a lawnmower (DS's Dad) - he came in for a coffee after cutting the lawns. DS & GF came bearing gifts and we had pizza delivered. A lovely way to end my natal day.
Out for lunch at the posh farm shop today with L. And Pops wants some shopping dropping off. The roofers have arrived and are banging away next door. Not the peaceful day that I'd imagined but heyho.
Aw thank you YL ❤ I really do love my Flylady friends. I'm glad that comes through to you.
Another brew for me, and a slice of toast. Then I'll write a Round.
Piggers - extra special vibes heading over the sludge to you.
Hugs to you all

Good morning all,
Very happy, if belated, birthday wishes, to my amazing, fabulous flylady friend, Round ❤️ xx We are so not being an age that we don’t like the sound of. And yes, September is the beginning of the new year - the best time to set resolutions and start diets (so they say, what would I know 😳) etc etc.
Hugs and coping vibes, especially to YL, Pigpen, Kaz and Narc0.
Yesterday was another busy one. Not to bore you, but in essence: just one load through the wm, 2 cars filled with fuel, full on and long day at work, late evening DD pick up from the nearest point that she could get a bus back to after an afternoon out with old friends, who are all just starting on their new lives in various towns and colleges.Today is another day after a long night in the WAC. I twisted my lower back earlier in the week, so tossing and turning in bed is even more challenging now. Bedding changed and in the wm, as that sets me up on a flying start (see what I did there…). I just need the motivation to carry on now. Maybe a 2nd cuppa will help.9 -
Feeling motivated.
Stuff is leaving my house! A book exchange shelter has appeared almost opposite my house, I am so motivated to fill it. Already sorted a dozen books from my shelves and going to do some of the childrens books this afternoon. Books are a huge problem for us, 3 out of 4 of us are big readers and prefer paper to kindle or similar, yes we have 3 redundant electronic reading devices too. Not able to deal with my English books yet, but so pleased to find a good home for my French ones.
Bin day tomorrow and both general and recycling are full.
HHI done, basket empty
Bed made, clothes picked up
Off to hairdressers next.
Lots of love and hugs to you all. xx As she skips down the road12 -
Morning!
I like the sound of it raining men Round...sadly no workmen here today, so I have been flinging!
Mademoiselle - I too sorted books this morning. I ventured into the pit of doom which is Tiny's bedroom (although as he is 7 now (*cry* - where did my baby go?) he's not so tiny) and sorted out his bookcases. I now have two bags for school, one for the charity shop, several dog-eared, sticky volumes in the bin and the sentimental ones I personally want to keep, on my bookcase in the middle room.
Good friend Sally just messaged to say as we are both child-free (did I mention that THE KIDS WENT BACK TO SCHOOL TODAY?) she's popping over so we can decide which tea-shop/coffee-house to visit. I love term-time, although getting the boys up early enough for my stint at breakfast club was a challenge. Everything hurt, was annoying, made things difficult, tasted weird, blah, blah blah this morning...*eye-roll*
Sorry to hear about elderly moggy Piggers, but it sounds like you were meant to be there so they were not alone. I hate losing furry friends, it breaks my heart.

Morning (just!)
This morning I have
- showered, dressed and eaten breakfast
- dusted the LR, DR and kitchen
- done all my errands in the town centre
- decluttered a bagful of bits to the CS as well as 3 larger items from the garden [fer-ling!]
- drunk coffee and eaten biscuits, to try to boost my energy (it hasn't worked)
DH has to go out to a meeting at 6.00, which clashes with our usual evening mealtime, so I must start cooking our main meal now. While it's bubbling, I need to hoover through downstairs.
Mademoiselle, DH has a pile of novels in the utility. As I remember, the original agreement was that they could stay there until read, but that he would not buy any other books in the meantime. Nine years later...9 -
Wet washing hanging indoors - freezing and dull outside, but water butts are now empty, HHI done, kitchen floor swept, fridge tidied, bed remade, 2 parcels received and dealt with, sad gh looked at, repeat prescription ordered. Now to bag a grocery slot.Laptop fired up. I need DD to sort out her bank account, but getting her to do admin tasks is like pulling teeth.12
