Thank you for the happy birthday wishes. 🥰
I didn't get round to evicting the kitchen spiders as there was a knock at the door and my brother was stood there. He came in for a coffee and a natter. As he left my friend H popped....today is the only day that popping is allowed 😊 and then the electrics man knocked. He has just given me the all OK and see you in 5 years.
Now I can breathe...flump.

Well Meem and I went to feed my sister aged cat his lunch.. and we couldn't find him.. the othes all shot outside and the dogs were being unecessary... we eventually found said cat .. collapsed behind the sofa in a sorry state.. Meem scooped him out and cuddled him while he crossed rainbow bridge.. Sis only went away yesterday!! So we had to call her, in Lanzarote to tell her he had gone.. utterly heartbreaking.. it was truly horrible.. we purrito'd him and put him in the shed for sis's partner to bury when he gets in from work... it was just hreatbreaking.. my poor sis is devastated for leaving him.. but he was loved, he was not alone and he was not in pain.. That may have been the hardest call we ever had to make.
You couldn't make this stuff up! honestly!

Evening, thought I had better sort of surface instead of just putting up the lists every other week and bolting. Unfortunately I'm not really up to chatting etc.
Have spent nearly all day throwing stuff away, to tip or the skip outside, from our understairs cupboard and part downstairs.
Unfortunately I found all the baby clothes that I had put away, and totally forgotten about, for my little ones that didnt survive many many years ago. Actually I don't even remember buying them. Anyway after a good hour of really horrible sobbing I have let Dave take them to the charity bin.Just got a slimming version of a shepherd's pie bubbling away waiting to go in the oven shortly.Oh and I'm still in my pj's... LolOh and I was also hoping to have moved by September of this year when we originally made our minds up to actually got to Wales. Now it looks more like Easter of next year... So much for Christmas with my sister this year.. oh wellMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

(((Hugs))) Natty - the memories of our lost babies never fade, we just push them to the back of our minds until something comes out of the blue to remind us. Someone will benefit from the clothes, and you will never forget your little ones xx
More (((hugs))) to pigpen and Meem. You were so meant to arrive at that moment.
I haven't done all the things that I was planning today, but my friend with whom I was due to go out for lunch on Friday has cancelled as she doesn't feel well, so it feels as though I have gained a day this week. I did manage to clean all through upstairs, down the staircase, and in DH's bedroom and ensuite (that being my least favourite job); Rosie has had her walk; and we have been fed. That will do.9 -
Happy birthday Round.
Hugs to lots who need it.
Progress is fast here: yesterday mum rang at 9.30 to say she was coming home today. Half an hour later, physio rang arranging to deliver various bits of equipment at 10am today. Friend on way back from holiday dropped in and we had a lovely swim. 2 missed phone calls from Mum when we got back.....cue panic.....finally got through to her, they had decided she could come home with me at visiting time yesterday afternoon. Cue frantic flying and house preparation. Managed to fit Mum, 2 zimmer frames, a commode and 2 bags of stuff in my car. Breathe. She did well to zimmer her way up the front path to the lounge, then later up the stairs to bed. I set alarm for 6.45, having been told that carers would come "some time between 7 and 11am". Of course I got up several times in the night to check on her, so the alarm wasn't welcome. At 11.30 I rang care agency to be told, very nicely, that it was between 7 and 12....and she was on her way. Lovely lady arrived at 11.45 and did the wash and dress routine.
Left mum sitting happily in bedroom chair watching birds in the garden while I strode up to C00p for some milk, fruit and a newspaper, calling in to update her Pilates instructor on the way.
While she was resting this afternoon, I rang insurance company, read all the t&c of the policy and those of the cruise company, sent off for claims forms, continued with my tax return, answered a few million texts/messages/phone calls from well-wishers needing an update then cooked dinner.
I hope all that counts as flying cos I ain't done anything else. oh yes, I washed my face mask and watered the tomatoes.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.12 -

Oh Pigpen how sad. Glad you were there for pusses final moments.
Round Happy Birthday and thank you for being you and bringing love, wise words and kindness to our Flylady family.
I may have had a minor meltdown earlier. DS is feeling a little better so had brought a load of stuff out of his car into the house to sort, it seemed to have spread itself across the whole ground floor, and then he felt poorly again and went back to bed. DH has been to the chiropractor with his back so couldnt do much, which is fair enough, but he could have done something (dishwasher/his pile of stuff out of utility room/dry washing off the airer, clean pots off the draining board). Dont even get me started about the empty Amazon box in the middle of the kitchen floor.
So I had a paddy and stomped off to shut myself in my office. DS has moved his stuff, hoovered and dusted, emptied the DW and tided. I was so grateful, especially as he is not really very well.
So that kinda sums up my day. In at work tomorrow, almost looking forward to getting out of the house. And my car is fixed, I didnt really understand what the man at the garage said it needed, now have to wait for the bill.10
