YL.. Do you have any of the lateral flow ones (you can just pick up from chemists)? Most people I know who tested positive had had those come up positive first, the results are so much quicker too.. if you show symptoms you definitely get a test but the information is very sketchy. If having a test daily reassures you though, then do that.. whatever makes you least anxious. TBH, if I thought I had it I wouldn't bother getting a test, I'd just stay home like I whenever I get anything.. they are my germs and I am selfish with them and don't like sharing, haha, it's not like I go anywhere! I totally understand you panicking about DS being ill.. I would be absolutely the same. When my uncle was 4 he had meningitis and thankfully survived.. he is now 60 and my 94 year old grandmother still worries whenever he gets the slightest thing wrong with him.
Thank you all for seedy offers.. I will definitely ask if we need more.. as it was I didn't get my lettuces sown and I am fighting going to bed just in case.. I don't want to be traumatising any more of you with dreams of me!
Meem had an upset.. her housemates mother brought loads of stuff round which isn't even hers and 3 carriers of food.. including opened packets of pasta none of which was Meems and some was open packets.. and they have mice!!! *BINNED* I kept the unopened stuff much half was just binned.. just in case it was contaminated.
Medication and bed.. let's drug the brain function away..

Morning lovelies, hope you all enjoyed your long weekend.
Yesterday was not as productive as it should have been but washing done, kitchen was wiped down, rubbish bag filled with things that were going to be thrown away but no one had put in the bin (old broken bag, tatty mattress cover that'd been replaced....) Parcel collected, errands run. And dinner was cooked.
Today is another new day, let's get going.
WM on, clothes picked up out of DD1 bathroom & bedroom
Bed made, clothes picked up
Off to make coffee and see about breakfast, starting to feel hungry12 -
Morning all,
Spent hours tossing and turning last night, feel like a wrung out dishcloth this morning.
After I have done the school run I will take the dog for a long walk and pick some more blackberries. Swimming lessons after school, and bolognese sauce is out defrosting for tea. I am also going to declutter my linen cupboard today.
Have lovely days all xx12 -
Morning all,
Another one here who tossed and turned all night. Today I have a ton of errands to run, all on various sides of the big town. It includes going into the centre - I haven’t driven there for over 20 years, so the anxiety levels are through the roof, as you might imagine.
Clean washing folded, not sure that there is enough for a wm load today.
I hope that all littlies going back to school today have a good day.11 -
Morning my lovelies xx
Hugs and calming vibes being sent out into the ether. ❤
Dad has phoned to say that he tested positive for covid, but he feels fine. He was ill on Sunday but slept it off. Barbara isn't well - she's in bed with flu like symptoms. Pops and Babs - you make me smile piggers xx Hope you are feeling steadier today. Xx
I've made my bed, supped two brews and eaten toast - I guess I should get dressed and do something useful.

Morning all. Hugs and coping vibes where needed.
I am still not quite right but need to soldier on again as yesterday I agreed to play in last match of season tonight.
It is drizzly here this morning. I have taken the dogs for a short walk but will keep to indoor flying today.
Have a great day everyone- we can do this.Spend less now, work less later.12 -
Children away to school, dog walked, blackberries picked and eggs collected. Craving toast but no bread..13

Phone call that I've been putting off doing for days, maybe be weeks, and worrying about in WAC made this morning. The person was charming and very pleasant. Huge sigh of relief and financial gain, why did I waste so much energy over thinking it!
Next I need to update spending spreadsheets, not done any since 25 July when we went on holiday. I will start it on a daily basis again from tomorrow but will go through the statements to see what we spent in August.12 -
Morning all. (((Hugs))) to Jazee, round re Dad and Barbara, asb, Fayolle, YL, pigpen and anyone else who needs one xxx
Well done on the phonecall, Mademoiselle.
I have made beds and S&S'd kitchen and bathroom. Today is catch-up-on-various-bits-of-financial-admin day, now that the banks are open again, and I hope to do a bit more gardening later.
I have just chased up the new mandate for the church bank account, about which I have had no official notification. Apparently the hopeless service banking conglomerate doesn't send out written confirmation that it has been dealt with!!! but it is all done - except that they had left on one signatory who hasn't been a member of our church for almost 10 years, and who I had not included in the new mandate, so he should have been deleted automatically. Copious apologies received and accepted graciouslyI have also found out that I have to jump through numerous hoops to get access to Internet banking, even though it won't be for long...
...so my next job has to be to phone a different bank about opening a new church account with them and switching our business from the present corporation (see above) which has been causing us hassle for longer than anyone can remember.
See you later x
ETA: Wait time to get through to the second bank is estimated at more than 60 minutes. I'll get one with something else, then, and ring early tomorrow morning!11 -
Me again. Dailies are done and I've swept and mopped the hard floors. Have almost got all admin up to date, but like Ionafan, I need to tackle a troublesome bank account. Going to do it now.Spend less now, work less later.13
