Morning all. Feeling a bit rough and sorry for myself this morning but will snap out of it as I'm planning two dog walks, making a valance thingy for our bed, changing bedding and dusting bedroom and living room and I'm meeting friends. If I get all that done and there's still time and motivation I will do more fence painting.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Pigpen I am trying to cut down FB time but find its such a habit. Dont think there is much on there that is good for us.
Fairly certain that DS1 has Covid, he is shivery and has a cough. PCR test booked for this morning. He is at home which is good because I can keep an eye on him, but not so good because I am worried about DH catching it. I have the same dry scratchy throat that DS had two days ago but we are all double jabbed and there is nothing much that we can do. DS is confined to his room.
I know it sounds terrible but I am also worried about DH having time off work because he is self employed and we are a bit short of money right now!!
Anyhow, going to do some paperwork for DH who is fast asleep in bed still. No idea what the day brings.
Happy Bank Holiday all x12 -
Morning all. Thank you for the thread, I really need to be in.
Hugs to all, especially Narc0, Kaz, Jazee, Pigpen.
GI - you have my sympathy. My one hour yesterday at the allotment (the first time i have been up there a
one since February) caused family melt down **sigh**. I was called back, mid-dig, as it were. Well done on your decorating progress.
I’m having my first cuppa and contemplating the day. Need to put towels in the wm, do HHI, s&s bathrooms. I have my book next to me, though, and am not yet dressed, so progress for this morning is likely to be slow!

Morning all,
Hugs to all struggling. I am keeping everything crossed your DS is okay YL xx
I have put the WM on, and we have an egg delivery to make shortly. It involves a two mile walk so the dog will get a walk too. Kids back to school tomorrow so lots of organising to do later on!11 -
So far - dailies, dog walk with a friend, hoovered through, stripped bed, WM on the go, watered garden.Spend less now, work less later.11

Morning all xx
Fayolle - the only reason that I am showered and dressed is because I'm expect P & S to call for coffee this morning and I don't know what time. Second brew is going down nicely and my book is on the chair arm, whispering 'Read Me' .... sooo tempting, after all it is Bank Holiday. But I had my petrol head on yesterday- BTCC, British MotoGP- trying to see DB and DSil in the crowd 🙂, and Belgian F1 GP highlights (🤣). So I was glued to the telly all day scoffing a big bag of sweets. So I really ought to do something today.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling.....just going to read a chapter first though.
Love to you all

Good morning 😁
YL I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the pcr is negative 🤞 and that you are all ok.
I am up & dressed. I'm just having breakfast & my 2nd cuppa.
So far today I FUPA the clean washing, cleaned the upstairs toilet & sink and put DS's bedding in the WM.
DH is running again. We then need to go out carpet shopping, and also food shopping (again!) We only went on Saturday!! It will be less when DD2 & BF move out - 5 adults plus extra children eat a lot of food! Pigpen, I don't know how you keep up!!
Have a good day everyone 🙂9 -
Morning everyone, and thanks to Valli for the new thread and today's list - I will do what applies to me (which isn't much).
GWS to YL's DS1.
Good to hear that Narc0's mum is on the mend.
Don't overload yourself, Jazee!
Hope you got some quality sleep and a gentle awakening, pigpen (why did I dream about you last night???)
Anti-worry vibes to asb.
(((Hugs))) to Kaz, just because!
Commiserations to Fayolle and GI - my garden veg (beans and tomatoes) are not doing at all well this year.
Well done to Mademoiselle, ready for the fresh start.
DH finally got breakfast on the table at 9.30 this morning, by which time I had already cleared some admin jobs off my desk. Off now to have my shower, S&S bathroom, start the WM (though it's grey with only the hint of a breeze right now), write birthday cards, send a couple of emails, tidy up the garden, and make a couple of phonecalls to friends - all interspersed with ancestral recording. I need to sort and clear the boxes of ancestral papers off the top of the c-o-d this week: they are driving me potty! (as if DH can't do that unaided...)
Enjoy the BH rest, if you can xx

Update - we have delivered eggs, walked the dog, foraged some blackberries and dropped a bag of items into the clothing bank on the way. I now have an email to send, a couple of texts to send then lunch to make. Kids have requested pasta with my HG tomato and courgette sauce x11

The events of yesterday caused me a horrendous trauma trigger and I have, in 5 hours, relived the most traumatic parts of my lilfe.. I woke up in tears, hyperventilating with a huge pain in my chest. The one day I needed OH to wake me up and he didn't.
GI, I wonder how I keep up sometimes, then I look about my horrible house and I know exactly how I do it.. by not doing the stuff which now desperately needs doing and is starting to affect my mental wellbeing.
I've had a cuppa and calmed down a bit but I am still very close to tears and have a niggling ache in my chest. I can keep breathing under control during the day.
Todays plan is to do food fo the pinks and stay VERY busy to the point of collapse from exhaustion .. take meds and go to bed, if I take the 3 lots of medication I am incapable of nightmares (I am allowed to take them all together).. sleep isn't hugely restful but it's quiet.
We got some free lettuce seeds so I am going to try to get those planted in my MANY egg boxes this afternoon.. some nice fresh leaves sounds nice.
Girls are needing food first.. they had second breakfast about 2 hours ago, they are not as starved as they make out!
