Flump 😊
Thank you asb xx I read your encouragement in my lunch break and it helped me find my second wind for the afternoon. Then I received positive feedback from a GP's Surgery - so I've come home with a smile. I do try to go the extra mile for patients and it's nice that someone recognised that. Swank 😇
Pizza and onion rings have been ordered for delivery...let the holiday begin.
Flying is on tomorrow's agenda.

Before second work shift, from the list, I sorted out all my shoes and boots. Threw out a pair of past it trainers but don't need anything new except some new insoles.Spend less now, work less later.11

Hello
Hugs, Narc0 x. I hope your mum is on the mend.
Well done, ASB x. I hope they were understanding.
Hugs, Kaz x, for all the curveballs you keep getting.
A bit stressful at work and at home this week, hence no posting and no flying.
Today, though, I did change our bedding, get it washed and dried, and cleaned the ensuite. Took DD for her 2nd jab, only to find that big town was gridlocked due to a bad accident. Plans to go to the out of town shopping centre to start her uni shopping had to be abandoned, as did getting petrol for my car. Came home, swapped to DH’s car as he had more fuel and it was on our way, and drove up the motorway to the Swedish emporium, opposite direction to big town. Got a few bits, but still have a list, as everyone seemed to be having the same idea.
Have a lovely headache now. DH and DD are out tonight, but I am taxi for both of them. In opposite directions. Thankfully in the 2 smaller towns, which are only gridlocked due to road works…10 -
ionafan said:- wrapped DD's birthday gift, including two AA batteries for the clock, and took it to post at the PO

I've had no problems posting any from my local one.The guidance states they are ok to post.Batteries, specifically new alkaline metal, nickel metal hydride

Mademoiselle, good to know you're experienced, i'm sure i'll have a thousand questions
Kaz, yep we've planned to do the training whilst we're at the marina, our friend is moored there also and if we go out it'll be with him to begin with.
All cleaning was done on the boat today, the inside is almost finished.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:10 -
Ionafan yes batteries are a blight; Mr N recently ordered a spare one for his camera; when it arrived it was the wrong one and he had to do all sorts of emailing to different couriers once he found one which agreed to send it back to the bunny company.
I have had a few texts from Mum today, she is now in an 'enhanced surgical ward' which medically is a step forward but she says it is more hustle and bustle than ITU! DB had a good visit with her and took in her tablet so as long as she can figure out hospital wi-fi she can amuse herself with FB, emails etc.
One load washing done.
Loads of harvesting - greengages, apples, tomatoes, beans, a cucumber and a pepper. Did some weeding and dead-heading, watered greenhouse.
Filled bird feeders.
Sorted out invoices and lesson plan for tomorrow's workplace support, meeting in C0sta. Had phone chat with the lady to sort out agenda as her email is playing up.
Organised a load of letters and a parcel which needed posting; walked them up to PO and the parcel bar code wouldn't work so he wouldn't take it.....clearly it's a confused postmaster day.
Wrote a shopping list as I'll be in town for the work tomorrow and may as well go to Mr T.
Updated a load of relatives etc on Mum.
Watched a load of paralympics.
Booked in for next Friday's Body Attack; I'm down for tomorrow's.
Mr N went for his follow-up optician appt; pleased to hear that cataract surgery healed very well and he now only needs reading glasses.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -

This evening I completed a bit of laminating and filed a few more papers. I then ruined the tidiness of the study by laying out some of the ancestors (or, more accurately, their paperwork!) over the spare bed. Hoping to get that bit sorted, recorded and filed tomorrow. DH wants to go out for lunch - and who am I to deny him us that pleasure? - but has to wait for his own car to be returned first, so that Rosie can come with us.
Enjoy your holiday, Round xx
G'night all.

iona.. the PO have a huuuuuge sticker to put on packages which contain batteries. I receive batteries a lot through the post for Boogs diabetes monitors and have sent them in items such as childrens toys. The guy definitely needs to receive more training, you should suggest it to the PO manager
Food shop has to be done tomorrow or we will all starve to death!
Glad to see Narcos mum feeling brighter...
MIL is having issues with her other trotter now. It is what it is..
SIL's unpleasant partner messaged OH to ask if we were expecting.. I said ignore it.. I wish to address that myself, in person... flipping rude IMO.. you don't ever ask or pass comment on anothers body.. utterly uncouth! If I was they would be the last to know.. I was about 5 months pg with Twinkle before we told them lol. (no.. I am far too old for such silly ventures!!)

Morning xx
Thank you Iona xx
Wide awake at 6.20am and so I got up for a brew at 6.40 am, gathered the towels from the bathroom and set them swishing while the kettle boiled.
I'm going to a colleague's leaving lunch at 12, and having my hair cut at something past 5, need to check what time my appointment is. The rest of the day is my own 🙂
Another brew, then I'll set myself a Round.
Love to all
