That sounds as eventful a journey as ours on Tuesday. Glad you got home safe! I hope the bill is not too dire
I reckon almost everyone who thinks they haven't had it would show they had if they were checked for antibodies.. and I read a thing recently which said those who were first to take up the injections are down to about 6% protection.. which of course include all the medical staff and older generations.. and heading towards our natural flu season with a massive surge in norovirus cases as well.. this is going to be one heck of an autumn!!! I may hibernate now!! I saw mutterings of expected school closures/everything closures again come the end of October on some of the home education groups working with the local authorities.. who even has any idea what is going on any more from one day to the next??? lol There is a very nasty cold doing the rounds here too.. DD1's house is currently infested with germs.. the little 2 have been really poorly.
Give me the plague any day over norovirus.. that is just evil.. I now need to obsessively clean the bathroom..
I have to go feed my sisters elderly cat for the next 2 weeks.. He is old and loved. I am taking Meem with me to fluff on her fluffers and deefers. I am looking forward to my sisters return already!
I had Fabian today and Dot has been in meltdown mode all day so I have got absolutely nothing done, it has been a day of calming and placating and tomorrow I have to do it all again.. it is very much groundhog day!
I had a very nice call from the SEN dept saying they were refusing Dots request for EHCP.. I WILL appeal.. The man said he would speak to the new SENCO so I have to get in there first and work with her to get this sorted. The LA have refused EVERY parental request for over a year, I made it clear I only did it because the SENCo was leaving and I thought it would be saving her and the school the task knowing how busy they are (LIES!) and that I had spoken to the school who were very supportive and while I appreciate the things they have put in place they should receive additional funding and some guidance from the LA about what they need to be supporting Dot with. I told him we had a partial autism diagnosis which is an ongoing assessment but I could keep them appraised and also the sensory processing service who cannot give an actual diagnosis (WHY??!!) but the recommendations list was fairly extensive and I would forward a copy with my appeal if we were unfortunately having to do that. I also have input from the Sleep Service who will support our request.. I am not backing down on this and I made it very clear that anything which he could do to get this through before my child loses the motivation and love of learning I would appreciate.. I also added that while it will outline the provision she needs right now it is also to provide support for her as she moves to secondary school because that is a massive transition and she can barely cope with me wahsing the bedsheets never mind a whole new environment where she will possibly need a chaperone and a lot of support. I do not want her to be labelled the naughty child' because she has a meltdown 15 times on the first day.
Nest time for me.. I will plump cushions and refill the biscuits and loo roll for the WAC!!

Morning all. Hugs where needed.
I have already walked the dogs on a new pleasant route in the sunshine. I'm now going to wash up then get on with cleaning the cars before I change my mind. Also plan to do some gardening today.
have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Morning all,
Heck of a week all round for pretty much one and all on here, methinks. Lots of healing vibes (especially Mr Kaz), supporting vibes (especially Kaz, Pigpen, Narc0, ASB, YL), hugs (Mademoiselle, Iona, Round), sorry if I have missed anyone, but have a squishy hug anyway x
Trying to dig up some sort of motivation and general oomph here. I’ve barely achieved the washing and ironing here this week. Even getting a meal on the table has proved a challenge. It’s quite spectacular how I can write a meal plan, then totally ignore it for an entire week.
One load in the wm this morning. DD needs to be taken to work (her last day, more problems there but I won’t bore you), DH wants me to go the allotment with him to dig our poor excuse for a potato crop. If we had any illusions of being self sufficient on the veg front this year, they have firmly disappeared. Quite frankly, I just want to hibernate.Off to find the elusive guag.
Have a good day, ladies, and be kind to yourselves xx11 -
Morning all (again!)
Sending all the strength and positive vibes I have spare to you all, especially Kaz, Piggers and Fayolle. You are all amazing ladies and I am proud to call you my friends.
Feeling bleurgh after rubbish sleep. All I have done so far is get dressed - DS fed the chickens and let them out, bless him. Tea and toast needed, then I will formulate a plan for the day.
Have fab days all xx11 -
Morning all xx
Wide awake at 6am. Up at 6.30. So much for the long awaited holiday lie ins 🙄. I've had two brews and a slice of toast with chunky marmalade. I'm dressed and I've made my bed, glugged bleach in the loo, set WM swishing, and rinsed all the drinks cans ready to be recycled.
Round 1
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
WUDUPA a bowl of pots
Yesterday I returned a jumper to DS's Dad and took egg boxes to Jo. So, finally, that little patch of kitchen work top is clear. Yay!
Love to all

Thank goodness for the love of FL'sBad news vet phoned, cat has cancer, I am in floods of tears as is OH, and the cat knowing something is wrong is cuddled tight up to me. Cat and I are off to see vet at 11am to discuss options, also for cat to have AB jab, as on my own won't get tablets in to him, vet doesn't want to leave it until Tuesday when they reopen.Edit:- he has Squamous cell carcinoma, look after him and call us when you need us, they cannot operate as there is not enough skin around the eye, it is very aggressive. Let him enjoy what time is left. (gutted to say the least)It is now chucking it downKitchen has been done

Oh Kaz I am so sorry to hear that. Much love. And Pigpen these services are massively underfunded, I know first hand how getting the right support at the right time makes such a different. And you have to fight for it when you are dealing with so much anyway. It's wrong.
Slept really heavily, have made myself do a stretch and tone workout and had fried eggs, bacon and beans on toast. Still feel flat and cant shake it off. DH has gone to work for a bit and wants us to do gardening this afternoon. There is flying to do. I cant be bothered, I could go back to bed.
Ah well I might have another coffee then I will get a shower and get dressed. Think I should book a grocery shop and I need to get the hoover out.13
