Oh wow nmm what an amazing thing to do. I have dreams of travelling the UK in a campervan one day.
Thanks for thinking about me yesterday ASB. I was wondering about you going back to work but didnt want to ask.
Full on day at the paid stuff, then came home to make chicken casserole, change our sheets, do two loads of washing and show DS1 how to put his new tent up, and also sorted out some camping stuff for him. I am off work now until Tuesday but feel a bit anxious because I really need to be at work, there is a lot going on.
Anyhow, I am taking Mum out tomorrow, and after that I have no idea what the plan is.11 -
Waving to the WAC. I'm home now after a pretty worrying few days. Mum ended up having fairly major surgery on Sunday, now making progress and I was able to visit for the first time today. Flying has comprised general housekeeping for me Mr N and DB staying in mums house , updating relatives etc. DB is taking over visits for a few days and I'll go back down on Sunday. I've started cancelling the cruise mum and I were going on in Sept so lots of admin to keep me occupied.
Came downstairs to watch church friend's daughter in paralympics but internet not playing ball.
Hugs to all, I've only skim read lately.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -

Morning xx
Love to all who are feeling poorly, or have poorly loved ones, human and furry ❤ xx
It's my last day at the paid stuff until 7th September. Just got to keep going to 4.30pm and then I can flump. Then fly. Woot woot.
Birds will be fed before I go. And I've made my bed.
Take care

nmm how wonderful, we've had sailing boats for more than 20 years (currently on our 4th). All our family holidays spent sailing. You'll love it. We don't live aboard but do spend a month at a time and weekends. Feel free to pick my brain, I've actually been sailing, messing about on boats and water for more than 40 years.
Kaz, sorry you have to battle with the cat, but shows he's feeling better
Narcolepsy, hugs to you and get well wishes for mum

Round - soon be 4.30, chin up lass you can do it xx
I need to get in touch with HR today, I really don't want to but big girl pants will be put on. I have a long list including egg deliveries, haircut for DS, community food share tonight, trying to keep that anxiety at bay that seems to be eating me alive... the usual.
What I would really like is a day off from peopling and parenting, snuggled down with the dog and some Harry Potter movies, alas the show must go on.
Have lovely days all x8 -
Email sent to HR, market visited, barbers visited, kids now playing in the park at the back of the house so I am having ten minutes peace x10

First shift done, garden watered, dogs walked, wiped mud off Littleydog and wiped mucky bits on front door.Spend less now, work less later.12

Enormous (((hugs))) and "Well done" to asb xx
Narc0, I hope your mum is on the mend now and will be home soon xx
Glad your cat is taking his pain relief easily, Kaz - he must realise that it's doing him good xx
I have
- S&S'd the kitchen and hoovered and steam mopped the floor
- S&S'd the bathroom
- done and hung out WMx2
- been to the bank and paid in money
- wrapped DD's birthday gift, including two AA batteries for the clock, and took it to post at the PO
- brought the parcel home again and repacked it because the PO would not accept the batteries
- took it back to the PO and declared the contents to be "a clock and two £1 coins, together with a note to the effect that the PO would not allow me to send batteries, so I hope that DD can fashion some from the enclosed coins!" This time it was accepted
- not done a lot since lunch, but it's much too bright to work at my desk, even with the new blind down, and I can feel a headache starting already...
Will catch up with you later!10 -
Lots more washing done, still no ironing backlog and the mountain is shrinking. mainly bedding and towels left now.
Lovely long chat with friend this afternoon, feel much better for it too.
DW emptied and reloaded
Off to prepare dinner, well peel the prawns and chop veg as it's stir fry and noodles tonight
Several glasses of water drunk, I am trying to improve my hydration, hence posting on here
