Thank you ladies, your thoughts mean a lot to me, cat back from vets, it is not fighting, grass seed or anything similar, they have taken a biopsy of the lump from his eye, sent it to a lab for testing etc, he has 3 stitches, he has a collar and must stay in doors for at least 10 days, bring him back in on Friday for a check up, they will call when they has the results from the lab.Mademoiselle, most likely the hose is not in far enough in the waste pipe, or there is a slight hole in the inlet pipe / outlet pipe.HooveredPut the winter bird seed away all 25kgs or it!Blocked up the mended cat flap with a large flat cardboard box and a chair in front of that.Bins also doneBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Good afternoon
Kaz I am keeping my fingers crossed for kitty's results
I got up late! I don't care - I needed it!
I have retrieved the rest of my belongings from DD2's room and replaced most of them in my room. There are some boxes of random gibble/rubbish that DH retrieved from the top of his wardrobe when we emptied our room that I need to go through. I am a bit annoyed, because it really just looks like rubbish (bits of paper, card, receipts - actual rubbish!) that he just stuffed up there (I can't reach, so I know I didn't put it there!) This is why my house is such a mess!
I have made SW zero syn mini crustless quiches for my lunches this week. The WU has been done, and all work surfaces wiped, along with the oven and hob (while it is still shiny!). The worksurfaces have also been decluttered. DW is on.
DS has washed his car!! This is only the 2nd (possibly 3rd) time it has been washed since he bought it over 2 years ago! He tried to vac it, but the dys0n wasn't working. I have emptied it, cleaned the filter and put it on charge. It is going now, but the filter needs to dry before I can use it.
I have also done a couple of froggy admin tasks, and need to do a lot more! Oh, and I have cleaned the downstairs toilet and basin. I plan to make a batch of diet cola chicken for my dinner tonight, and put some in the freezer for another time. I need to get that 1.5 lbs back off, and some!!
At least I have achieved something today. I may take the dog for a little walk, as my steps are low at the moment! And I need to sort out those boxes!!
I hope everyone is ok. Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them x10 -
The grass is cut and that was the extent of my flying today.Spend less now, work less later.11

Kaz - still keeping everything crossed for you xx
YL - Your day is done, hurrah! Well done you xx
After I posted this morning, we walked to the village and did our chores. When we came back I made lunch, shuffled a mountain of laundry, made a huge vat of bolognese sauce for the freezer, gave a friend who called round some plants and books and set the DW going.
I had a nap whilst the children had some screen time, then we went swimming. They are in bed now, the kitchen has been re-set, the WM is on with school coats, and we have made our plans for tomorrow.
I am shattered! Sleep well all xx9 -
Glad puss is back home with you, Kaz xx
The guinea pigs finally got their breakfast at 1.00.
Rosie enjoyed her walk.
I mowed the lawn tooand I pegged down some strawberry runners.
I have asked DH to remove all his stuff from the DR table tonight, as DS1 & Co are coming for tea tomorrow.

I walked the dog, and dropped off my set of spare keys to my friend down the road as she is moving on Friday. I don't suppose her buyers will want me popping in!! 😂
A large carrier bag of paper, receipts and more carrier bags has been recycled/binned/added to the shredding pile as appropriate, along with a box of similar rubbish - although the box did also contain 4 books and a tiny lego set!
Kitchen has been put to bed. Paid stuff tomorrow - 2 six year olds to entertain (or, to be precise, to referee!!), and a one year old. Early finish though, so not too bad 🙂
Plaster is drying nicely as it has been quite breezy here, and not cold. We had better check to see if we have any paint...🤔
Night night all!10 -
Morning all,
Up and ready early today as we are heading to a local-ish NT place with friends for a picnic. This is DD's birthday gift from family. I have made my bed, fed children and chickens etc.
I was in the WAC club from 3.40 onwards - turning things over and over in my mind, worrying about everything, mainly having to discuss my return to work in September with HR, how I really don't want to go back but I need some income.
I hope everyone has a lovely day
ASB xx

Morning.
Thanks for ideas on DD2 DW, problem found, the delivery men who installed it had put the evacuation pipe on a connection that was a blanking plate. All seems ok, just going to run it a couple of times to ensure no damage done to any seals.
Yesterday was a pottering day, washing, cutting the grass, repeat, repeat again. We have a big garden and the grass hasn't been cut for 5 or 6 weeks, add to that a summer of rain and sun and the result is a field. Set lawnmower to highest setting and did a bit yesterday. OH strimmed when he got home so I will continue trying to get it mown this afternoon. I'm waiting for deliveries this morning so it's ironing, washing and some tidying round.
ASB sorry you're stressing about going back to work. But enjoy your day out, I love a picnic.
I've not started back yet and I must admit I'm not looking forward to it but the end is in sight. OH hoping to stop working next May so I'm not going to take any contracts on next year. I will be able to concentrate full time on getting house and garden in a state to sell.
WM on
HHI done (basket empty)
1 bag of bits unpacked and put away
Next coffee, will wipe around the kitchen whilst waiting for kettle.
Have a nice day and keep SMILING11 -
