YORKSHIRELASS said:Pigpen these services are massively underfunded, I know first hand how getting the right support at the right time makes such a different. And you have to fight for it when you are dealing with so much anyway. It's wrong.
The LA have been told by central government they are to refuse ALL parental requests for EHCP.. our case worker said he would retake it to panel to discuss my reasons for requesting it myself.. mainly the senco was leaving and I wanted to save her another task last minute and so there was continuity and I had spoken to the school about it and they were supporting our request. Parents obviously know the child best so are of course better suited to describing and discussing their childs individual needs. School gets a very abnormal, institutionalised version of any child they do not see the true struggles so are not best placed to outline the childs needs especially in girls with autism/ASC's because they mask so marvellously. I also pointed out the various ther services he hadn't clocked were involved.. apparently if we had a social worker interfering we could have had ti without any fuss.. it was purely down to the fact I asked myself.. it is disgusting!
Kaz... huge huge huge hugs for you and OH and Puss.... it is so horrid.. Love that furry's fur off and I hope there are many many months of loving left. xxx

Me again. Hope the options are ok for puss Kaz. I know it's not quite same but Poppet dog has been living with her cancer for almost a year now, so far, so good.
Before he started work DH took down the kitchen curtains, so those are now washed and drying back in place.
Dog coats are washed ready for winter.
Washing up done

(((Hugs))) and coping vibes to Kaz and OH - please give the cat a stroke from me xxx
Pigpen, it sounds like you have a sympathetic case worker. Let's hope he can get a positive response from the panel, given the circumstances xx
asb, I hope you hear from HR as soon as they re-open after the BH. I spend a lot of time just acknowledging emails and making sure that the sender knows that they have my attention, but I notice that it rarely happens to me. I am still waiting for an official response from the bank regarding the church account mandate, 5 weeks from when I sent the forms to them (although the cashier in branch on looked up the progress of the changes on their computer system and said they have in fact been approved). I can't move on until I get written confirmation, and that is causing stress to me and inconvenience to my predecessor as Treasurer who is still the only person with access to Internet banking for the church account
Trying to do some work this morning and failing miserably.
I have S&S'd the kitchen and bathroom, made my bed, plumped up the cushions in the LR and part-cleared DH's stuff off the DR table. My Cypriot friend has rung to offer me some pastitsio (Greek macaroni and meat pie), so I've said I will go round to collect it and drink a cuppa with her after lunch. I've also booked lunch out with another friend at a local NT house next Friday. I'm feeling stifled by DH's inability to talk sensibly about anything except railways and war gaming.11 -
Kaz, more ((hugs)) to you and OH from here as well.
Iona, take another ((hug)). I swear if DH doesn’t soon start stringing a whole sentence together here in less than 60 seconds, I am going to lock him in his shed and lose that key! He is currently washing potatoes in the back garden. No, I don’t know why either, but he is out of my way and that is a bonus atm!
Said (now wet) potatoes dug this morning. Just the one sack, so they might just last the winter if we are lucky. What with the rubbish onion crop, and non existent tomatoes, it is going to be an extremely frugal autumn and winter.Allotment pancakes made for lunch, which cleared a few bits of lurking veg from the bottom of the fridge.
WULTD, thrown out dead dahlias, put washing outside on airer for a bit of fresh air.10 -
Fayolle, we must meet up one day! You made me laugh
I emptied the bins earlier. Lunch is eaten and plates cleared away to DW. Following Jazee's example, I have done a 15 minute stint in the front garden and tidied up bits of the raised bed. Going out to my Cypriot friend now. I might do some shopping on my way home.
DH has also gone out, but - predictably - to the war games shop.10 -
Hugs to kaz xx
WU was LTD and I've also washed out several tuna cans - to be recycled.
I think I'll bring in the washing next. Than have a coffee.

Hi al
Dusted and hoovered bedrooms, de-limescaled bathroom and polished shiny bits, washed bathroom and DS loo floors, wiped kitchen cupboard fronts, ran hoover over downstairs floors. Washed doggie bedding. My office needs a clean but will do that tomorrow. Have been to the village summer fete for a couple of hours.
Not good that you havent heard from HR asb they should be making it a priority.
Still feeling a bit flat here for no real reason.12 -
Sorry to hear about your cat Kaz - big hugs for you both.
Been busy, lots done...11
