    Hi,

Is it possible to switch sole account into Nationwide joint account?

I don't have any other joint account apart from Nationwide one.

    Thanks

Are Tesco still declining switch requests?
If I try to switch a Tesco account to Nationwide and is declined, can I still switch another non Tesco account to the same NW account.

I don't know about Tesco, but presumably there is some risk given their difficulties. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to just switch another account. The terms do not require the qualifying switch to be set up during the account application or anything like that. I wouldn't hesitate to give the Tesco account a try first, especially if it already has DDs.

According to their website they say they are, but I opened the Nationwide account on 18th August and submitted my switch request on 23rd August.

It was accepted by both Nationwide and Tesco and is due to be finalised on Wednesday.  The Direct Debits I had setup for this purchase have already been setup on my new Nationwide account.

Can anyone recommend an easy to set up current account which I can then use to switch? I already have a Lloyds and RBS account which I intend to keep, so looking for something that is quick to set up (and quick to set up 2 DDs as well).
I am unemployed at the moment and not receiving any income/benefits, so worried this might affect what accounts I can open?

    Starling or Monzo should work.
  • Hi.
is it possible for 2 solo accounts (in different names) to be switched into the same joint NW account and get 2 switching bonuses?  Thanks.

You can switch as many sole accounts as you please to sole or joint accounts but you will only get the switch bonus once. See T&Cs.

I have just checked my DD's and I have one leaving on the 1st September and two leaving on the 6th September. However the start of the switch is on the 6th. I thought the 2nd direct debits were on the 4th. Not sure now if I should shift the date now to 7th September to start the process.

The 4th is a Saturday, so it should come as no surprise they will pay out on the next working day. I don't understand why you are considering making changes to the switch as a result of this.
