Dizzyimp welcome back and so sorry to hear all your news.
I've had an incredibly mixed week. Sun - Thurs was full of flying and having a good time with family preparing for and enjoying Mum's party. Joyous. Horrendous traffic on journey home on Thurs, 5hrs instead of 3.
Fri am Mum rang with acute abdominal pain so after going to the gym I rang her again at lunch time and promptly rang her GP. To cut a long story short, I drove back down, took over from kindly neighbours and acted nurse. GP had merely left anti-nausea prescription at the surgery which neighbour collected, and said to dial 111 if no improvement. She did so, spoke to doctor who made appt for 10am this morning at A&E. Suffice it to say I got home at 9.45 pm after hours of telling the whole story, wandering round hospital (currently undergoing building work) and waiting for tests. They think it's a blockage. I'm to ring after consultant's round tomorrow. So WAC here I come. I daren't think.
Mr N is holding the fort at home and says he's done lots of flying.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Dizzy.. biggest of hugs, it is so hard. Run free furry boy xxx
Narco.. I hope your Mum is soon on the mend. xx
OH got drenched cycling home. I was right about Meem not getting up again.. I am sure I have some of her underwear here.. I will sort her something out.. I think she would move back home if she felt she could.. but it is so nice to see her and Moomin getting along again. I love hearing them laugh together.. it is definitely what Meem needs. She seemed much brighter today
My hair feels horribly dry.. and worryingly thin.. it was always really thick (like my head!) but just isn't.. it's really weird.

I think we need an enormous group ((((((((((hug))))))))))). Thank goodness we've got flying - or at least the thought of it - to give us some sort of normality in our lives!
Love and strength to all xxx10 -
Morning xx
I was thinking the same about the group hug iona (((((hug)))))). Not sure flying and normality belong in the same sentence at this house - but I will earn my flylady halo eventually 😇
It's a grey, dismal, damp, humid morning here. I've made my bed and supped a brew watching sparrows flit in and out of my cotoneaster.
Round 1
Brew 2 and breakfast
Sweetie seed and water
Get dressed
Feed the birds
Put window cleaner's money in an envelope
Write shopping list
Love to all

It’s a slow start here, I think we are all up for a settee (or bed, in the case of DD) day. Brighter outside after the lashing rain and lightening of yesterday evening. We might walk to the allotment this afternoon when it has had the chance to dry a bit and see if there is anything for picking. Too wet for potato digging.
Round 1:
get dressed
cuppa 2
fold yesterday’s clean washing
water veg trug, which I covered up to keep the baby lettuce warm.
Squishy group ((((hug))) xx10 -
Hugs Dizzy I dread that day coming for our old boy x
And Narco sorry to hear about your Mum, hope she gets sorted and is on the mend soon x
Lovely evening with my brother and family last night. Came home to find DS1s GF on the sofa watching telly waiting for DS1 who was at a friends, they had decided to stay at ours and we werent expecting them. Then I realised that my journal was on the table next to the sofa, I pour all my thoughts and feelings out into my journal but I dont hide it because DH would never read it. She will have looked at it wont she? I was really cross with myself and got a bit worked up about it. Too late to worry now though.
No idea what today brings I feel a bit bleugh after too much wine and food. DS1 is playing in a cricket final and wants us to go and watch. Bit of laundry to do and need to make some plans for next week but thats all.11 -
Hugs to everyone who needs them especially Narco and Dizzy.
Dailies and dog walk are done. I've also scrubbed the kitchen sink and s&sd bathrooms. I have an errand to run later but apart from that no real plans for the day. DH is working so I need to do quiet stuff. Forgot to mention that I sorted my fabric and wool stash yesterday. Also hoovered through this morning before DH started work.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning all - thanks for the hugs and well wishes. Puffy eyes this morning, which is not a great look.
Hope your mum is doing better today Narc0 and you get some rest.
Another early start here but I have made some progress in the kitchen and with some online stuff. WM and TD both on, so there'll be ironing to do later.
Need to pick the plums from our middle tree, which means finding the step ladder to reach the top. I've already got lots of plums in the freezer still from last year, so I'll be instructing the boys to eat them fresh (within reason, obvs)
TTFN x

Round 1 completed. Thank you for the motivation, as I would still be on the settee in my dressing gown if you wasn’t for you lovely lot.
Plus:
bunch of sweet peas picked from the garden
another load of washing rustled up and now swirling
another HHI done
chickpeas that were soaked last night are simmering.
YL - if she is half the gf your DS deserves, she will have not laid a finger on your journal and will have respected your property in your house. xx8 -
