I must be careful what I wish for - 3 hours of steady rain and DH wielding the sander and drill!
Vacuum cleaner speed pushed around the dining room, so that I could drape the wet washing on the airer in there. Food storage cupboard emptied and restacked - tins mainly. My mum was a war evacuee and so had a fear of running out of food. I inherited that from her and hate not to have tins and dried goods in. Luckily we eat a lot of pulses and tinned beans etc, very mse. We also eat a lot of noodles and rice which takes up an inordinate amount of room in the cupboard. Everywhere now looks a whole lot messier. So much for the clear up. A tin of pineapple liberated from the depths - might make an upside down cake tomorrow if I’m feeling enthusiastic.
Off to pick up DD shortly. Time to do a few rows of knitting before then. This jumper has become an epic project, maybe 2 years?? in the making.9 -
Ironing basket empty - all four items! Also popped to shop for bread and walked the dogs until we got caught in yet another shower. Going to read for rest of day now.Spend less now, work less later.10

Round 2 completed. Two loads of washing done and on the airer. And I've 'liberated' both sockets in the RoD - and brought down 3 empty cardboard boxes to be torn up and recycled. I haven't emptied the boxes - their contents were taken to DS's house when he moved out so I can fer-ling the boxes. That's a little bit more out of the door.
Round 3
Tear up & recycle boxes
I found the Christmas decorations 😁
piggers - Boris grew another leg and foot, that and the baby Borises float about but are only a nuisance when I'm stressed or tired. Thank you for asking. ❤ xx

Hugs to all especially DM and Dizzy.
I have finished the back of the cardigan and have started on the right front. I have also properly separated and sorted the wool which was getting in a tangle.
All ironing done and lots of straightening of rooms done too.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear10 -
Pigpen sending love to you and Meem. As someone who has watched their offspring battle MH issues I know how tough it is, and how helpless you can feel as a Mum. And Round well said about the starting over thing. It's something I have learnt with age, you dont have to let the past define you.
We have been to the shops but like Fayolle our tin/packet cupboard is very full so I am trying to only buy what I need. We have some tins of fruit from when we got emergency food deliveries last year, I keep forgetting they are there.
We may have also called into a local cafe and tried their new £12 for two afternoon tea. It was lovely but we ended up bringing some of it home. Meeting my brother and family later for a takeaway, they want to treat us for our wedding anniversary. I will have to do some exercise tomorrow!
So flying has not happened here today, but thats OK, it's Saturday after all.10 -
Round 3 completed. Very cathartic ripping up the cardboard 🙂
Another book finished and added to cs pile. Pizza in the oven.
Feel like I've achieved something today. More to do tomorrow.
Circling the wagon and settling in for the night.

Evening ladies
Velvet Boy was sent on his way this afternoon and I've more or less bawled my eyes out since. DH has ordered a take-away as he's realised I'm not cooking dinner. Feeling fragile but trying to plod through. The other dogs keep sniffing the empty dog bag, which is making me feel worse.
I didn't do much flying today.10
