Valli Glad you managed your trip and got to see the little one. Good news too about your test results x
I have had a busy week with things not going smoothly at the care home. Now the registered manager has left too.
I find being at home alone the worst. I take ages to get anything done. Today I cleaned the bathroom, dysoned the ground floor, watered the garden and washed the towels. I fine when I’m out and about and with other people.9 -

Even today, we got to talking about where we played as children and I told the story about going for a walk with my friend - and the smell reminded me of the smell around 'the brook' and I was in tears...and my mum sobbed holding the baby. And we're almost 5 years in....
I used to sit down and look around and know stuff needed doing and just ignore it... all I can say is be patient...even reading a book (even a page) or watching a whole film was impossible.
Anyway - I have flown - the bin is out.
PLEASE WILL ANYONE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PAINT (GLOSS/MATT/SOMETHING ELSE) YOU HAVE ON SKIRTING BOARDS AND DOOR FRAMES AND WHAT COLOUR

Regarding the grief responses, I still have moments of breakdown over the loss of my nanna 17 years this coming December.. There is no time limit on grief or any proper way to respond. Your heart does and it does.. being open with your emotions and sharing with those who understand is of utmost importance.. ((hugs))

Morning all,
I was up at 6.30 with DS, my head whirring with a huge to-do list. I have written it down and made a start already.
We need to be out of the door at 9am to go into the village and complete some jobs before the children go to dance club at 10am. My fruit bowl is bare, I need to visit the PO and also drop a bag of "stuff" into the CS. Nothing stressful at all but my mind struggles with these things sometimes.
I am going to put the dog's bedding into wash before I go out. Have lovely days all x9 -
Morning all,
Bed stripped, wm on. I have a dw to empty (it seems that nobody else needs it emptying around here??), and a small ironing pile to clear. Washing bin is over flowing, it is bright outside, so I will aim to get another load in the wm later.
DD out with a friend at lunchtime and DH has a dentist appointment at about the same time. My aim is to wash the kitchen floor whilst they are out. It might need 2 or 3 goes 😳. I’ve written it here, so I’ll have to do it.
Valli - I am gradually (speed of a snail) getting the woodwork renewed and painted in satin. I admit to it being white, as the original colour is dark brown, often with dark walls as well and I need light in this house!
Hugs to all xx9 -
Satinwood here in white! glad you got to cuddle the baby.WM done, clothes pegged out on whirlyHoovering done, cat left a trail of black hair across the hall carpet.OH's trail of destruction cleaned up, (he called it that) mainly plate and bowl and wrapper paper, as he cannot empty the dishwasher ~ the tingles are back
in his hands and feet.
Recycling outMentally working out how to get the garden tables / chairs back into the shed for the winter, as I don't see us using them this year, so might as well put them in shed, so tetris shed will be taking place later on.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hi all
Gentle hugs to those in need. I am a bit giddy here, I stupidly managed to sign myself up for an app subscription which cost £39.99, one of those ones where you do a free trial then they take the money at the end. I was gutted because I cant afford that right now, and I had read forums posts saying that you will never get a refund. I sent them a pleading email and they have sent me the money back!! Lesson learned.
More paid stuff still to do, house is reasonably OK. Thinking that I might do a cycle ride or walk later, DH is really late home on a Thursday and I seem to end up slumped in front of the telly when I have finished work. Will see how I feel later.10 -
YL that was a close call, well done for contacting them and asking. It is now raining here, so washing is having another rinse.General stuff done, plus research in to a brooch left to me by my grandmother, so next stop will be someone who knows about this sort of stuff at a local jewellery shopBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hello flyladies - long-lost Dizzy returns after months of what feels like utter hell.
Long story short...mum got cancer and has recently died, we've been flooded again (albeit to a lesser degree than the first time) my dog died, my Billy Goat died, fallen out with the neighbours and had the police involved, closed my dog boarding business, had a mini breakdown, had a friend help me put things back together, adopted a stray cat and now have three kittens, had a surprise baby kid (off-spring of deceased Billy) appear in the paddock one morning and much more....
I need some sanity in my life and to be honest, you lot always keep me grounded...can I come back please?12
