I’m so sorry your ds has been so ill. Thank goodness he’s coming out the other side now.
the hard search is so annoying, he must have known darn well he shouldn’t have allowed that until everything was agreed ☹️Generally every time I look back in a year, things have changed for the better, but it must feel like wading through treacle right now. Hi CCL..just to send a virtual hug. I understand how everything seems overwhelming at the moment.
If you have to use your solicitor then maybe they can search a mortgage.
Once Ex is served with these papers can he refuse to deal with it?9 -
Oh CCL, poor DS. That sounds horrendous. A stone in weight?? Poor kid. XXX
Our school hasn't been so bad but my mate's school has been awful, 1/3 of the staff off. She has been a total stress head.

So sorry to read about your DS...
It does seem to be rife in schools. Two local primary schools that have avoided any cases at all throughout the pandemic so far, now have cases😔.
Frustrating news about the mortgage. I do sympathise about the financial squeeze in every direction.
Hope you are able to have a relaxing and restful half term.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Hope DS continues to improve quickly and that you and DD don't catch the dreaded virus.
Keep your chin up kid, you'll get it sorted sooner rather than later I'm sure. (((hugs))) XI Believe.....

Morning all.
I had a lie in this morning, until 8am. It was lovely. Then I pulled on my big girl pants, did the usual morning jobs (washing up, litter trays, feed cats, washing) and started on the frog list. It's been traumatic, but as I say, I always come up with a plan.
I phoned my solicitor. It cost me £72 to speak to them. I suspect it could have taken less time than it did, but the basic idea is this - if and when I get a new mortgage then we need to serve ex with the papers and give him a deadline to sign. If not then my solicitor will send the papers to court and ask a judge to sign on ex's behalf. Basically all I need is a mortgage offer - which is easier said than done at the moment. I don't look great financially - my debts have gone up over the past six months and I have that hard search on my file also.
So I've spoken to Stepchange. They helped me out years ago with a dmp and got me out of debt once. They have financial advice also in terms of mortgages etc. Someone is going to ring me back by the end of the week and let me know realistically if they think I can get a mortgage or not. If not I'll just need to suck it up for six months or so, pay my debts down a bit and try again later. I thought I would feel better but I don't. I still feel really anxious and worried about everything, and ashamed that I've let my spending get out of control again as an alternative to dealing with the fact that I don't like myself very much. Two things I can't ever get a proper hold on - my weight and my finances. Thought I'd sorted the finances but I seem to have been ignoring things a bit over the past year or so. But no more. Fall down seven times, get up eight and all that.
I feel quite drained. Which sounds utterly pathetic because all that has happened is that I've gotten out of bed and made two phone calls. Kids are still sleeping and I'm wondering what to do next. Crochet I think. Not giving up
