Let me know how your replacement sachets taste/are .

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Okay, I’m convinced. Book ordered. I’m sure my pancreas will thank me.

The hoarder in me wonders if I’ve still got jeans from when I was 21 hidden somewhere. I’m not holding out hope to ever fit back in them though!

That sounds like a great meal plan. I do have different protein powders already. For the “big push” this time I just want to empty a sachet, mix with skimmed milk and take. This will reduce my chances of being tempted into having something else. I also bought some cartons of ready mixed meal replacement drinks this I can take on the go. I want to be on autopilot in the short term and reduce all thoughts of “what shall I make today?” I want to cleanse my system of eating a particular way lose the weight as I reset. Before Covid I was okay with managing my weight, was very fussy about what I ate, during Covid mmmm well Covid happened, then premenopausal and now, just can not get started. Just need to draw a line somehow go back to eating right for my body.

hope all had a lovely Bk holiday weekend.
I have just been in the countryside for the long weekend with various family members - all with gorgeous looking gardens but many hours are spent in the upkeep! I spent lots of time in the kitchen making bday food, including two cakes I have never tried - of the DF/GF kind.
My first sticky toffee pudding was such a hit I have now been 'booked' by DN2 to bake it for his birthday party as he declared it 'restaurant chef' quality (he is 10). It was very good I will admit and much better than the other quick bake. I loved cooking with black treacle and dates (reminded me of my nan!)  but now I need a couple days of sweet treats rest.

@Sistergold I have never tried such supplements but am tempted to, to make life easy!

back home and about to run a huge to do list for the next 5 days before my trip away
Bought a Vinted dress from same designer I love - bargain £20 and a matching shoe /bag set £23 - they look from pics unworn - super bright pattern so should replace a pair that died recently

I'm convinced (having read parts of the book online) that i need to lose 6 to 10 kg.  Probably nearer the 6 than the 10 so lets call it 8.  I've started being more intentional especially as i have noticed my mental health struggles if i do not eat lots of veggies.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
