    Current DVLA service standards;-

Currently working on name/address changes from 04 June 2021.
That’s hugely out of date. I changed address last Monday the 2nd at about 4pm. My new licence was here Wednesday the 4th.
You need to change a name by post.
If that's in reference to me, I'm in the process...

I understand DVLA is not fast.
The bank had requested me to change my name , I'm sure they are aware of the time frame.

As long as it's done by late September, we're okay .

we can't move in until November/December time as the couple we are buying from has brought a new build which isn't actually built yet.

My point about did your employer see your ID is that they may be willing to vouch for you with the bank.  A letter from your manager or HR on company letterhead stating "we accept that Miss A Jones is the same individual as Mrs A King and verify the documentation provided to prove this.  Furthermore I verify that this photo ID of Mrs A King is accurate and up to date."  complete with certified copies of all of your ID which you could then take to the bank.

(further bee in bonnet (lot of buzzing in my head) I dislike the use of Miss & Mrs but it's easier to use these in this example.)
