  • Thanks everyone, two nights out in a row, feel horribly guilty about going out, am not doing anything else aside from seeing my best friend.

I feel rough but did drink a decent amount Friday, the staff do was grim, it needed to be lubricated! Last night was dinner with my special friend, but it wasn't as good as normal, both of us quite stressed and not looking forward to Christmas. I haven't finished shopping, no tree yet, or decorations. I hate all the hassle and just want to sleep.

I have to take the smallest rabbit to the vets tomorrow for her op. Really need the conservatory sorted so she can recover.

    Nevertheless she persisted.

Am watching Elf (whilst eating the most amazing dinner) Wishing Santa was real and generally doing nothing for Christmas!

But! I have cleaned my work shoes, gathered shoes up from around the house and put them in the wardrobe like a normal person. Am going to hoover in a minute, I know it is quite late! but I started to clean out the piggies and then got distracted by sorting a sock drawer.

    I also watched Spiderman..

I need to clear up from dinner and get a shift on with the hoovering...

Delicious dinner sounds great. As does relaxing watching tv and a bit of hoovering 👍👍

  • Thanks Milann,  the cleaning was grim but won't go into details!!

Smallest bun is at the vets being spayed.

I am sort of nervous. She is so little, only just weighs a kilo. Am hoping once she is spayed she is less of an absolute demon. Equally worried she is too little to be spayed. However if I don't get it done now, we might go back into lockdown and she will be one in March and in even more danger of developing cancer (a high risk in female rabbits).

I have a big list of things to do and need to seriously get started.

    Going to have some toast.

  • My friend's friend died. Really sad. I know it is stupid as it is awful at any point but at Christmas when everything is "supposed to be" happy and your loved ones are there. And dealing with the presents and food you had. My friend hasn't said much. Obviously real life friends are there. I just get so fearful of covid. I don't actually know if this woman was vaccinated or not, but it is a worry that it can cause death in someone who was healthy. Which all sounds terribly obvious after all this time. I think I just can't believe it. I knew her very slightly via FB and she ran and looked after her health.

I am so tired and starting to feel ill. But need to get on.

  • About 1/3 of the conservatory is emptied.

Small bun has had op and is in recovery. PHEW.

Anyone reading this thinking about a conservatory for their house instead of an extension - get the extension. The conservatory is nice a temporary room for a quick cup of tea or evening drink. But generally it is either too hot or too cold, as in if I am cold it is FREEZING!!

Also I think every fly in the country has come there to die. GROSS GROSS GROSS.

Yep, that is about the size of it, I think that is why don't feel very Christmassy?

  • Sorry about your friends friend. Any death is awful but especially at this time of year.

We have a conservatory and whether it is usable depends on which way it faces and what heating you have. Ours faces south east so is very hot in summer but we use it less then as we are in the garden a lot but it is nice in winter with underfloor heating on. In spring and autumn we rarely need the heating except in the evening/early morning.
