  • Agreeing with jellytotts. Am sorry it has come to this but maybe it had to for you to see that your life, as is, is untenable.

You need to take care and get through this then regroup.  Those new year resolutions have to be meaningful.

  • I don’t know why but I suspect Buffy’s mum Will refuse this. Have I read this in here that meals delivered have been tried?

I’m not sure why as if you weren’t there what would she do or eat? I think I’d have thrown in the towel by now Buffy. You’re doing incredibly well especially given your job. Please be kind to yourself x
Yes Buffy what would happen if you were run over by a bus tomorrow?

If you were unconscious in hospital what would happen?
Buffy don't want to go back what was said almost 2 months ago but, you can't carry on as things are now, something has to change.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.
  • It is untenable. I think at this point she actually can't do anything, physically and every day is a real struggle for her. I also think it is her fear overwhelming her, cos if I am not ok,  then there isn't anyone else and being on her own isn't worth the struggle. Plus she is depressed.

The heating doesn't work because Mum has put the service for the heating off over the years. It works downstairs and although her room doesn't have heating (as far as I can tell) the spare room does so she has residue heating from that. Normally I am too hot in the house so my cool room is a relief, also I have door open but now I am isolating it is shut and oh boy is it cold in here!

It never mattered before cos I am so rarely in my room, but sitting here I realise how low down on the list I am. Like stupidly low.

    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Things they don't tell you about Covid..

    1. The aches and pains are AGONY.
    2. You have no sense of balance and spend a lot of time falling over. or nearly falling over.
    3. Room temperature foods are carboard.
    4. You can only eat things that are hot or cold.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I did a bit of a property search and whereas flats used to be around 220,000, there are now some for 200,000 and one for 180,000 but that had a short lease. Mostly they are still 250,000 plus. But it was nice to have a page of possibilities.

Maybe it is the beginning of the end ;)

Buffy I'm recovering, I tested positive 6 days after my booster jab.

I agree with the aches and pains and the lack of balance. You have to take it slowly, you will feel better some days then you will have a bad day, just take it slowly and don't do too much.

Sorry didn't mean to come over quite so stroppy but I got a little wound up over the weekend.   It doesn't mean that I don't think what I said was true though.
