  • Woah what a day!

Mum did amazing. We were at the hospital ALL DAY. From 8.30 till 6.00

The nurses were lovely and so good at their jobs but honestly I can see how things are falling apart. Mum had a blood test, no results, saw one doctor all day who didn't know why we were there, I had to explain to 3 different people why we had been sent in as urgent, yes mum had the transfusion (3 hours), but no communication as to what is happening if anything next. Not like before. A year ago we had the most amazing doctor there. I would guess someone will ring tomorrow. Mum seems good especially considering what a day it was.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

I’m glad the transfusion at least went well. We’ve always found weekends at hospitals to be worse tbh so hopefully you’ll find out more on Monday if not before.

Hope you get some answers. Hopefully she will feel much better after the transfusion.

  • been a weird day.

    Dinner is on.

I spent most of the day not feeling well, not eaten much. Am hungry now tho.

In the end I went to bed for a few hours. I sort of feel better. I guess I am tired.

I loaded up the car with charity shop stuff but the shop was shut.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • None of our charity shops open on Sundays. I think they are missing a trick

Charity shops rely heavily on volunteers but more seem to be opening on Sundays, unfortunately not regularly so it’s hard to plan a visit!
Hope you feel better today Buffy and that your Mum’s doing ok.
  • The website said it was open but it is not and weirdly wasn't open today either.

Mum is back to same day emergency care tomorrow. She is angry about this. We have had to cancel the repair guy coming. She doesn't understand why they need her back, she thinks it is all very inconvenient.

    I am so tired.

I have achieved nothing this holiday.

I can't wait to get back to work. At least I would feel useful.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
