I'm WFH and every time I come through the door I get a wheek chorus, but Ginger stays to have a chat and she has a LOT to say.

With some time for you I hope?  xx
Hope you’re ok? You know where I am if you need me x
I know exactly how you feel 🙁 Hope it’s a good family weekend and not one that’s a load of hard work for you.
I am being a bit of a baby really but am honestly so fed up. The work thing is upsetting, the garden thing is upsetting - no time to do it today and it looks CRAZY. the heat is going to kill me next week. I MUST go to bed before 11pm because I am not getting anywhere near enough sleep and am ending up feeling horrendous during the week.

I am taking mum to the opticians today which means I am waiting for that to be done, I will try to do some washing and indoor tidying. Tomorrow we are visiting my sister for the first time since Christmas. Mum is excited which is good. But not really time to myself as it is all a mission and I of course need to cook dinner............

Do other people get flies in their house? As soon as I open the back door we get them.

    best do some washing.

  • Sometimes Nigella Lawson comes on TV and I am quite happy to watch her, other times I want to break the TV in Frustration. She is so bloody "perfect". Grrrrrrr.

    Deep breath.

I ordered an indoor run for the piggies but have realised it is too big :( Normally they would run around in the hall upstairs but with the stairlift things are a little tricky. I still do it but it would easier in the week to pop them in something. So will have to send that back and order a smaller one. Annoying.

I think the plan today is to get mum to the opticians and then see if I can cut the grass. That would be a good thing. And maybe some shopping tonight. As we have no food really. well we do.  Just nothing that is easy to cook.

You're maybe getting flys because of the indoor pets... not a lot you can do about it, so keep the windows open and hopefully they'll fly out again :wink:

I think one of your main problems is you try to spread yourself too thin.  Taking on so many things that need doing all at the same time ends up with everything half done and nothing finished.  Having read your diary for a while it seems that your first priority should be your bedroom.  It would give you somewhere to work comfortably and also be your 'safe space', which I think you need.

Rabbit hutches, rabbit bonding, piggy runs, grass cutting, clearing sheds,  tip runs are superfluous to having a bedroom which can be your sanctuary.  Does the clearout seem to big? Are the other 'imperatives' a way of avoiding what seems to be a massive task?
I'd put everything thing else (other than eating) on hold and empty the bedroom of everything other than the bed, desk and wardrobe, then concentrate on making it YOUR space.
To be honest I think your first priority at the moment has to be you... you know what they say about grabbing your own oxygen mask first....((((hugs)))) XX

I agree with you, and the room should be a priority. Unfortunately whatever job I do I don't get a clear run at it, I have to do something else so I do things like the shed or the garden cos just stopping is doable, as in it doesn't matter if I make a mess or don't finish something, it doesn't impact on mum. It is just a list of excuses really I know, I know other people manage and hats off to them but I can't at the moment.

And also you are totally right about the bedroom being a massive task. Worst it has ever been. When I had my house bun I had to keep the floor clear but now it is just a dumping ground. An absolute dumping ground!

Always have flys in when the doors are open.  I’ve got floor length voils up at the patio doors which do deter a lot of them but the slightest breeze and the curtains billow and the flys sneak in….the buggers.

I love this! One of mine worked out when I come in from work these days I have dandelion leaves and she screams, forget wheeking, until I come upstairs and feed them to her!
