I gave my mum a book on Swedish Death Cleaning for Christmas. It's not really about dying, but more about making sure that you pass things on to people who can use them, and don't clutter your life up with stuff that weighs you down.
Just imagining giving this gift to my mum  :D I would be disinherited!
Her Swiss friend thought it hilarious, and asked whether she wanted to go and stay - he could arrange a visit to a nice clinic for her if she was ready ;)

That is properly funny and i can't express how funny cos I can't get the smileys to work!!
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I have cancelled my new year plans, I have a horrible earache (!) and feel like CRAP. Brilliant.

I had big ideas for today. But they aren't happening. Mum is only just up.

    Hey ho.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    Thanks Deni X
I have had a bacon and egg sandwich, I feel a fair bit better. And will be off to the tip soon.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Take care Buffy - hope that you're feeling better tomorrow.
Much love and Happy New Year.
  • I felt better, I think it might be that a few weeks ago I went to the hairdressers and got water in my ear. since then occasionally it seems to hurt a lot for a few hours and then it goes away.

I gathered charity shop donations from the 4 corners of the house - 12 bags! (and one from mum) and took them to the shop. the woman clearly thought I was nuts!

Then I went to Pets at home! I got new fish and a new fish tank! I know I know! BUT there is a method to the insanity, I have looked at this fish tank for ages and ages as it fits on the window sill, the other ones do not (and take up space in the room) and this means I have a tank in my room and that will be part of my sanctuary, also it is the last day I can buy anything!
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Enoy the fish Buffy and wishing you a nice evening :) I'm home alone with my cats.  Making a veggie roast dinner and having a glass of pinot

  • Smiling at the baileys in cocoa stories. I do confess to putting Baileys in my hot chocolate and always sleep well on those nights. Should do it more often to combat the insomnia but afraid I’ll sleep through the alarm and be late for work 😆.

Hope you enjoy the new fish and tank.

    Wishing you a happy 2022.

DD swears that having the hair drier blown in her ear for a few mins cures the day after swimming earache. Happy New Fish day x
