Iceland do lovely individual pies. They do take a while in the oven but at least minimal effort and you don’t have to eat them too. Plus no palm oil for a bonus.
  • Buffy just reading and catching up..... Do you think it may be early dementia or just being a control mum?   sorry if I have it wrong. Hubby goes through this food in one day and not liked another time. I cook xyz as he wants macc D !  He is very challenging at times with his various medical conditions . Also early stages Dementia . It all started with a brain tumour 2011.  I often tell him selling pre loved parts only!
Be gentle with yourself you are doing a great job and fulltime carer to mum and furbabies.

Recommend a large snowball with a cherry on a stick and chocolate/ xxAndrea

Yes, although I’m now panicking in case DM doesn’t like them! We get the Iceland own brand. We started on the 2 x luxury ones but went down to the 4 x creamy chicken pies because the luxury ones were a bit big for DDs appetite.

I know people have suggested dementia before, but I honestly don't think so. She is very conditioned to eat with others, rarely eats alone ever and wanted to please my sister by being available to chat, but probably didn't want to upset me by having lunch early, however she never says any of this at all until way after.

thank you tho Tuna xxx people like you who do what you do make what I do seem very little. Really mum is sort of easy. Hercule Poirot and a cup of tea and we are away!

    I had two snowballs!

  • I slept like a log - I know alcohol is not meant to aid sleep but I also had cocoa with Baileys, maybe I was relaxed? I didn't go to bed until 2 (!), set my alarm for 7.30, woke up at 6.30, thought oh I will just have another half an hour, and woke up at 10.15!!!

Since then it has been dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Mum and pills. Dogs out and in. Now I need to get dressed and go to the high street, the dogs need treats, we need bread/milk and I am going to investigate mashed potato.  I haven't left the house since Christmas Day? I don't think so? I don't know what day it is. I think getting out is best!

I need to shift tho as small bun needs to go outside. Today. Now!!

  • Back from the high street fresh air was good, forgot about the stupid parking rules so didn't have time to get everything. There was no time for browsing!

Made lunch, going to have a cup of tea, haven't had one since I got up!! the horror.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Can't believe I was out there for less than 3 hours! Felt like forever. Smallest bun is now outside. Barricaded into a section of the aviary. The other 4 (!) now have slightly less space and phase 3 will need to happen tomorrow - a sorting of the two pairs a bit more securely than it is now.
    Nevertheless she persisted.
