I just love getting a letter on House of Commons headed paper. Received a letter today from my MP. She writes in some detail about the bill and what it will mean for motorists.
Towards the end of the letter she mentions the fake debt collection charges.
"I appreciate your concerns about the false debt recovery charges, and will be raising this with my ministerial colleagues."
She is aware that Robert Jenrick is the minister responsible from previous correspondence.
I think that I am going to write back and show her evidence of the fake charges being added to my own claim. I have the LBC showing the £60.00 debt collection charge. The debt collection letters from DRP and the details from their web page showing that they operate on a no collection no fee basis.

Lucky You! my letter (arrived yesterday) advised that my Email (dated 4th August) has been forwarded to the Department for Transport. I immediately called the MP's office and explained it needs to be forwarded to MHCLG. I was advised my message would be passed on. I backed up the phone call with an Email copied to my MP with bold letters pointing out the error.
Received an email this morning (with yesterdays email attached) advising that they will write to me once they receive a reply from the Department of Transport (which could take up to 20 days)! At least I will have two letters on House of Commons headed paper...5 -

Remember, these are the people who run the country.
I would email again simply stating that the DfT is the wrong department. The consultation ends next week and you want your views heard by the correct department.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks5 -
@Fruitcake that's exactly what I did...Dear ???? , as mentioned in all my correspondence, the consultation is being carried out by the Ministry of Housing Communities & Local Government and not the Department for Transport. (Link to consultation)
The consultation closes on the 26th August 2021 and it is important that (MP) makes representations on my behalf to the appropriate Ministerial Department (MHCLG) before the consultation closure deadline, in order that my concerns can be considered.
Reply from????Thank you- I will speak with MP
Kind regards,
