I think Sir Greg is now fully aware that the parking industry is attempting to scupper his bill

I just love getting a letter on House of Commons headed paper. Received a letter today from my MP. She writes in some detail about the bill and what it will mean for motorists.

Towards the end of the letter she mentions the fake debt collection charges.

"I appreciate your concerns about the false debt recovery charges, and will be raising this with my ministerial colleagues."

She is aware that Robert Jenrick is the minister responsible from previous correspondence.

I think that I am going to write back and show her evidence of the fake charges being added to my own claim. I have the LBC showing the £60.00 debt collection charge. The debt collection letters from DRP and the details from their web page showing that they operate on a no collection no fee basis.

Great Stuff  :)  MP's should see how the scam works

Lucky You! my letter (arrived yesterday) advised that my Email (dated 4th August) has been forwarded to the Department for Transport. I immediately called the MP's office and explained it needs to be forwarded to MHCLG. I was advised my message would be passed on. I backed up the phone call with an Email copied to my MP with bold letters pointing out the error.
Received an email this morning (with yesterdays email attached) advising that they will write to me once they receive a reply from the Department of Transport (which could take up to 20 days)! At least I will have two letters on House of Commons headed paper...

    *Bangs head on desk*

Remember, these are the people who run the country.

I would email again simply stating that the DfT is the wrong department. The consultation ends next week and you want your views heard by the correct department.
I think I may be one of the lucky posters who's MP has a working brain with more than one concurrently active cell: I wish there were more MPs like her in Parliament, then this country might not be as screwed as it is.
