NSD 14! Whoop Whoop!!!!Today I have to make another soda bread loaf as the hungry ghosts, the unsettled midnight souls that haunt my landings, ate all the currant and walnut loaf- it only came out of the oven after lunchtime yesterday. No idea what I am doing today, not volunteering (we now close on BHs) so have the whole day free to lie on the sofa, read, and drink coffee..... after the laundry, the cleaning, the baking ..... will do an inventory of my food stores - the lasagne was gorgeous. Why do I not make it more often? Everyone loves it, it is 2 minutes more complicated than a tomato spaghetti, but so much nicer, and more impressive. I am now a fully paid up member of the lasagne appreciation society (LeShire faction).Funny how certain things you use to cook all the time just fall off the menu plan.
to you all, and enjoy your BH Monday, and even if you are at work, I hope you enjoy your day anyway. You deserve to.

Unfortunately, no BH up here but I have a slow day in work and started to prepare myself for September. Thinking through my goals etc.
Let's just say me and hubby have been indulging more and more over the last year and a half (start of lockdown, hubby now working from home, drowning the overwhelm and dissatisfaction with reality or what ever else I can think of as a silly excuse) and it started to become a problem, for me anyway. Hubby is still totally oblivious and ignores my pleas to stop, cut down or at least to stop tempting me all the time ( and I need to stop using him as an enabling excuse IYKWIM).
This was one of the reasons to come back on here, some accountability as I can't bring myself to totally confide in one of my friends. Hence, I will be counting NSDs and NDDs (no drink days).
Signed up for the work's gym again and made my first weekly meal plan in ages. Hopefully have enough food in to even plan the main meals for another week this evening.
Plus I got a few big trips to save for as I can hopefully visit family in Germany this year if things don't go wrong again. It has been 19 months! And the occasion we don't mention yet to save the elves is coming up too.

Evening turtles
Minor spend today on a cup of tea, took OH to a race track for a driving experience and it was colder than I expected so I bought myself a drink. No other spends though. Also went for an early morning swim and did some yoga.
Yesterday wasn't a NSD either as I needed some eggs. Also met a friend for coffee, which was a planned spend. Went horse riding first thing. Trying to decide if I want to continue with it, currently not enjoying it but the thought of stopping makes me feel emotional. Maybe it's just a bad patch.
Got everything ready for work tomorrow already so settling in for a nice evening in front of the TV.7 -

Great day spent at a local sculpture trail yesterday - too much spent in the cafe there, though! And a morning today spent bowling - youngest 2 enjoyed it heaps
Good amount of steps, though
Lightening my life - box of books sent off to Z1ff1t. New CS bag started.
Looking forward to DH's payday tomorrow - much needed after a speedy August!

Hi all
Had a nice day, did tons of washing and got most of it dry on the line. Did a small SM shop, paid council tax online and paid my share of DD2's graduation meal last week. Did 2 surveys - ipsos and PA. Went for a long walk with DD2 and friend. Have redone budget based on changed figures eg lower monthly cost of mobiles now mine is out of contract, lower Council tax as DD2 is going back to uni etc. Chilled eve and early night
Gratitudes - friend dropping off a HM cake; cooler weather but still got my washing dry; nice eve with DD2

Happy birthday @Idee2111!
NSD#16/17 will need to check. A good night's sleep ☺️ run ragged at work this morning, lots of non communication from the one in charge & last minute timetable changes. The afternoon went well though. Did a little hand sewing after tea, then knitting. Have an early start tomorrow (5.30 wake up) to take hubby to the airport to go to Aberdeen hospital to get his dialysis tubes put in his arm.
Pleased last night that with saving lots of points from credit card spends, surveys, taking photos of receipts, etc & converting them into big river gift cards, I was able to order a new toaster & a 'cage' to make toasted sandwiches all for free 😃 will be great to have longer slots, so the whole slice gets toasted, not just the bottom 80%!!
Grateful for free things, the garage roof being finished, feeling the urge to streamline/declutter/sell thingsUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
