A lovely sunny day, felt shattered on awakening as had woken 7 times in the night 😔
A good day at work, went shopping afterwards. Got a few t-shirts for hubby & one for DS1 reduced in £land. Decided to use my free £10 L1dl voucher towards buying treats for the festive season. If I can do that each month, it'll be like having a free 'C'! Unfortunately a lot of the things I'd like to buy aren't stocked yet, but sure they will soon. T3sco already have their tubs of sweets on display! Had a tour of colleague's new rental property, she wants me to shorten a pair of curtains for her.
Hubby washed up after I'd put the shopping away, then I watched more of the series & did some knitting. 3/4 of the way through it now, so should be finished before friend's birthday in 2 weeks ☺️
Grateful for the end of the working week, a sunny day, hubby washing upUse it up, wear it out

@Thrifty_Taylor I heard on the radio that there will apparently be a shortage of pigs in blankets this year, something to do with lack of labour! Crazy how far in advance they start prepping these things. I'm sure we'll all survive though!
Couple more NSD's, I worked at my part time job yesterday, 12 long boring hours haha. Sorted out my finances for September so I know where I stand. My old employer won't rectify their pay error until the next pay run, which is typical and leaves me very short for September but I'll make do. Need to make sure they send my P60, wouldn't put it past them to mess that up too!
Plans for today are horse riding and swimming this morning, then meeting a friend for a walk around lunchtime. Maybe a nap later on lol.6 -
I did hear that indeed @Icc86. Pleased that I make my own!
Has a good day yesterday. Me & hubby took bonfire debris to the dump, then went for a walk up a big hill, around by the sea & through the small town. It was quite drizzly, so couldn't see the neighbouring islands. Vexed to discover that later that day 2 pods of Orca were spotted! I've lived here 35 years & still not seen one!! Looked in the two charity shops, but didn't buy much. Thought the prices were quite high. Did some sewing then half emptied a compost bin & spread it around some new shrubs. Dishes & TV at night. Any volunteers for September's thread?
Grateful for a different walk, lots of Scabious flowers & lots of spiderwebs glistening with raindrops amongst the heatherUse it up, wear it out

A good day. Woke at 7, then nodded off until 9, haven't had a lie in for ages! Walked 4.5 miles with hubby, then did the ironing. A friend picked me & another friend up & we went for afternoon tea at the community centre in the next parish. She treated us, so I bought her some raffle tickets. Man arrived to finish putting felt on our garage roof, just needs trim along the edges now. Did some hand sewing, then had a soak in the bath with a new book.
Grateful for fun with friends, a nice walk with hubby, good books

Morning turtles
Still catching up on unpacking after 4 days away and DD2 is now home with all her uni stuff so downstairs is full of boxes and bags and the washing machine has been on constantly. Glad to have good weather to dry all the washing!
On Saturday my friend came over and we went to the outdoor theatre, was brilliant, funny, joyful and so clever how just 8 actors played all the parts with minimal props; some of them played instruments too. Loved it!
Bought some new sunglasses in the sale after mine cracked when i dropped them, also bought a pair of socks as part of DD2's end of year present.
Yesterday i met another friend and we went for a walk and had a pub lunch, her treat ! DD2 arrrived home with boyfr so i made a big veggie roast for us all and we watched a film. I was asleep by 11 as i'd been awake since 4.30am .
This morning i've had a lie in and finished a really good book i bought in a CS for £1. Going to tackle paperwork and get the shredder going.
Gratitudes over the weekend - lovely friends, chilling with DD2 and her boyfr, neighbour for mowing my lawn and giving me tomatoes from his greenhouse
