You need a solvent to shift that stuff. Petrol does it nicely - I always keep a little can of lighter fuel in the cupboard, as it has a neat little nozzle that makes it easy to apply.

Lakeland sell Sticky Stuff Remover which is much more expensive than petrol but smells much better!

    That's what I use. Works a treat.

    I always use baby oil.

After you've washed the paper label off and you're left with the
sticky gluey mess. Soak a tissue or paper towel in baby oil and
then scrub the jar with the tissue.

It might take a few minutes and a bit of effort but it should come
off. Also it leaves the glass moisturised and feeling soft (only joking).

I have some "Sticky Stuff Remover" from Lakeland-a little goes a long way,but before this found using a gel hand disinfectant worked well.

  • Lighter fuel. Great for removing plasters from hairy men who aren't looking forward to bald patches, either....
