Morning all,
White rabbits.
Hope you feel ok this morning, Valli.
I am bumbling and procrastinating this morning, which is annoying me, so why can’t I stop doing it??
1 load half heartedly in the wm. Laptop being kicked into life (no mean feat. It is on DH’s “list” to look for a replacement, but has been for ages now so I’m not holding out much hope) so that I can compose an email which I think is the cause of my procrastination. Once done, I think I will feel better, as long as the recipient doesn’t reply straight away!!
I’m going to dig out / maybe make a birthday card for a friend’s birthday tomorrow while I wait for the booting up to happen. The card won’t get there on time, but the thought is there.
Have a lovely day all x

Round.. glad the peeper is feeling better.. most of the time. Funny how quickly we get used to living with pain isn't it?
I've had a text fromholiday company warning of undercurrents and riptides.. now I am terrified of taking the children on the beach.. Dot has no sense of danger, OH takes them out far deeper than I am compfortable with so now they are of course all going to die and I am hysterical inside my head. I have huge anxiety around water anyway.. this has not helped.So.. we need to pack- towels/tea towels,
- my stuff,
- kitchen stuff,~ CUTLERY!!
- rest of the food,
- dig out travel cot,
- find girls purses
- wellies/trainers/sandals
- hair brushes
- rain coats
- girls toiletries/toothbrushes
Vacuum as much of the house as we can see.
and..Change the bedschange the cat litter in all 6 trays..write lists for the others- keep kitchen habitable etc..
- empty bins
- put bins out
- keep trays clean
- wash bowl
- fill water
- Hazel mats!!
- delivery on Tuesday
- take in turns to go to shop
I also need it to not rain as I have about 25 loads of washing to get through.

I am shattered! I joined the WAC at silly o'clock this morning, started making a batch of Twinks at 7.30, and by 7.50 (when DS1 arrived with DGD1+2) they were cooked and had cooled sufficiently to bag up. The girls and I fitted in a mad game of tiddly winks between breakfast and leaving for the Forest, where for a good hour they had fun on the high wire pathways, courtesy of the apes. (Sadly DH couldn't come with us as it was very wet and slippery underfoot, and too cold to sit and watch from afar). On our way home we stopped off at the riverside town where DDiL1 and her sister were taking part in their first craft fair with their handmade glass giftware and cards, heard that they were doing quite well and were very happy, and bought ice creams to celebrate. Home for lunch, then out to the woods with Rosie and the girls for an hour. Fortunately DH entertained them for the next hour while I rested my weary feet, and we finished off the day with a game of Mancala which DGD2 won hands down.
So not planning much this evening... See you on the new thread xx6 -

Pigpen I worry about DS2 drinking and going near water. Hope the holiday is survivable and not too stressful xx
Valli you must be so relieved, its something I hope to never have to go through.
Nice day. I had got persuaded to volunteer for something at 4pm which I was reluctant to do because Sunday is the only day I get to spend with DH. Read my book in bed till 9.30am then we had a quick breakfast and drove up onto the moors to do a walk. Missed a turn so ended up doing 6 miles instead of 4, but it was lovely.
Volunteer stuff done, some paperwork for DH sorted. Stir fry eaten, going to get PJs on soon in time for a bit of Baptiste.6 -
I've had a bit of a holiday today and read a whole book (400+ pages). I did peg out some washing and pulled a few weeds. I've also been given a new-to-me pinter, DiL (well she practically is) 's mum has been to the auction and got a batch of stuff.
Somebody returned this to PC world as faulty. It is fine. I haven't been able to download the software for it but I have connected it to the laptop as if it were a router. So I have to disconnect from the internet, connect the printer, print then reconnect to the internet. I am v. proud of managing to do that...
S'pose you want a list...
