I have decluttered a few £s at an outlet village. I have replaced my waterproof coat and bought DH some shoes. I resisted the chocolate shops.

Sunny here, wind as well, a few black clouds in the distance.HB, I to, have been considering 'stuff' if I were to pass, like family jewellery which has been passed down the generations, I have my grandmother's engagement ring and such like, I have a sister who has like me no children, she has already said she doesn't want any of it, my brother has 2 sons, neither of whom are married or living with anyone both in their mid 30's, I am considering selling the lot, and using the money for 'something', but making my mind up that is taking the time as once sold it is unlikely I would be able to get it all back, equally, I haven't look at any of it for at least 2 to 3 years let alone worn any of it.Been out and done small shopF1 qually now being watchedThe tide is on the turn so in a couple of hours, subject to weather I might go out walking, OH is thinking if he wants to come with me.I bought a seaholly plant £8 a few weeks ago from a show, and it is dying ~ it has had plenty of water, I'm not very happy.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thinking of you Valli. Hopefully home already or very soon xFinal wall and touching up done in small bedroom.
Wm run on a clean cycle, had been paranoid about the washing smelling, so that’s now sorted.
HHI.
DW running now.
More driving practice done with DD.
DH has been to the allotment. Mainly to get out of my way. Who can make that much noise coming home after a couple of drinks in a neighbour’s garden 😡. But I can verify that the sofa bed in the spare room is comfortable.
Been thinking about MIA flyladies today - Badcat, Jazzee, Round, where are you my lovelies?8 -
After yesterday's laziness, today I have cleaned right through the house as much as it needed (I'm not a martyr to cleaning windows or ovens every week, but I do like a nice clean bathroom and kitchen), taken Rosie for a decent walk which she quite enjoyed for a change, and decluttered a few zzz.
I have also been doing some more digging into my Scottish ancestors, but without much luck. Doing a bit better now with a different line that ended up in Trinidad!

Hello (waving enthusiastically)
Thank you for the nudge iona 😉 xx
I'm here - cheering you on from the sidelines. And sending prayers, sticks, get well soons, hugs and love over the cyberwaves.
Zero flying done all week- working Monday throws me out of my routine ..and the two day weekend is a killer to my energy levels. Thursday was a particularly challenging day at work so yesterday (my non working day for the next few weeks) was Do Nothing Friday. I watched TV, ate carp, and read my book. Then went to bed late after staying up to watch a Tom Hanks film.
Today I have had a shower and washed my hair, got dressed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, and WM x2 is draped on the airer. Oh, and I sloshed bleach down the loo. And changed the towels in the bathroom.
And I made dippy boiled eggs with toast soldiers for my tea - and christened my new eggcup 😊.
Been thinking about you Valli xx

Well THAT was an experience I don't ever want to repeat. But it was done with spray anaestetic for my throat (and that bit did not go well - I have, apparently, a very sensitive gag reflex.
Managed with gas and air for down below.
Anyway - it's done.

Glad you are home and it's behind you Valli xx
piggers - since I took a week off work and rested my eye properly it's not been so bad. Occasional annoying days with Boris's leg floating about and being a nuisance, but the constant gnarling ache has gone. I didn't realise how achey it was until it stopped. If I get stressed or tired Boris gets hyperactive and it's time to ommmmm and try to calm him down a little. Thank you for asking xx I don't envy you with the packing - shudder.
On FB today one of my pages popped up with "Replace undefined vague dreams with specific details, goals and action plans" - - it resonated. I lack focus. I lack discipline. But now I've got the eggcup, maybe I can bring the rest of my life on track too. Straight away I'm thinking, Don't hold your breathIf self-sabotage was an exam I'd earn a distinction!
It doesn't help when my 86 year dad phones and says 'I'm in trouble' Holy carp...heart goes racing off one way, stomach drops in another direction....'what's happened?'. Pause. I imagine another fall, more broken bones. Then he says 'I can't find my Birthday List. I think I've thrown it away. Will you write me a new one?' !!!!!!. Sometimes vague dreams are the only thing that keep me sane (ish)

Back from hols so waves/hugs/spoons etc to all, especially those who have had problems/procedures or are caring for family who are having 'stuff done'.
Got back late Thursday so spent most of Friday am unpacking, doing washing and - more urgently - moving lounge/dining room furniture and fittings for the carpet/sofa cleaning man to start at 12.30. Conservatory and kitchen are now full of furniture while the clean stuff dries. Did teaching session as usual on Fri pm and have written it up. Had a lovely summer fruit friande while on hols, hadn't heard of them before so looked up a recipe and made some with blueberries. Yum. Sort of like a fairy cake but more like batter as you whisk up egg white. The recipe made 6 of a decent size, so that's 3 night's puddings.
Today, after a late start (watching mixed triathlon on phone in bed till goodness knows what hour in the morning) we went to Mr T, then to curtain shop as spare room curtains are a bit tatty, and we have friends to stay Wed-Fri so it was a good incentive. Whole day was punctuated by watching olympics, but managed to do some dusting, pick a load of beans and blueberries, check various bird feeders/hedgehog feeders/greenhouse. Various bits of admin also tackled; remembered just before midnight that tax might be due; checked and it was although I don't remember a notification and hadn't marked it on my calendar (unusually). Hastily paid it just after midnight, phew, read that they don't charge interest until payment is 30 days late so they should cope with 2mins overdue.
Tomorrow will be church, putting furniture back and general flying in preparation for visitors. Plus Mr N has a significant birthday on Tues, for which I have planned very little......Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7
