12000 steps today. Went to clean up after the last nights storm at DG’s. We have cleared some rubbish that had been pushed down the side of the garage. The new large water butt was full so I emptied that. We cut down lots of large plants and I had a go at a topiary on an ivy ball.1x wm done

rang to claim something for DS2 and was refused so rang the advisor then tried again. Now I have to get sick notes from his new doctor who hasn’t seen him and is a long drive away from me. It will be fun I don’t think.

Pouring with rain here and set in for the day. I slept for ten hours, and still feel exhausted...
Not much on the cards today, DS won't be able to play out which is a shame. DD is coming home tomorrow.
Have lovely days all xx9 -
I've met the reallly important deadline today which had been worrying me this week, so I feel a huge sense of relief.Layla trundled the full mile first thing this morning - yay!Freezer shifted from the double bedroom to the temporary place it has to occupy until I can empty it and sell it, double bedroom spring cleaned, carpet spots washed, and bed made ready for an arrival tomorrow. I've been working on preparing my office for the current lodger to move into this weekend because she's not sure how much longer she needs to be here, and may be going away and coming back over the next seven or eight weeks. She's been *pinged* this morning so she's keeping our of our way at the moment but we're delivering food to her - breakfast for all three of us was French toast cooked by Belovéd. We're going out this afternoon so she can move up and in there when it suits her if she wants to. I need her to do so by Sunday morning because we've got someone moving in to the superking and it'll take an hour to turn it around. I must do the shower room tomorrow.A multitude of boxes have been shifted up to the attic and a load of bedding needed has been moved down and put in various different places. Now to prepare a load of food to take to the friends we are seeing and having a serious feast with this afternoon, and then I need to jump in the shower. I'm not good when I'm this busy. This might be a rant, but then again it may be a reflection on Minimalism.I'm exceptionally glad I'm not a minimalist today. One of the people I follow only has one set of bedding for each bed in her house, which seems to work for her family. Higgs, our very naughty 'done' male cat occasionally feels the need to 'make his mark' so to speak, and did so in a basket of newly washed laundry I was going to peg out when I had a moment earlier this week on two single duvet covers. It's been raining ever since.Layla has stress incontinence occasionally and I was trying to cut down her food because she's a very chubby little girl at the moment, due to the fact that she's been on steroids for 15 months, so there was a teeny bit of leakage a few days ago.If I hadn't had spare blue cotton single duvet covers in the attic I would have to be running the WM and then tumbling some bedding right now, in the middle of everything else I've got on at the moment and I simply don't have the time and energy for that kind of frantic hassle.I will NEVER be a minimalist because things go wrong, and we don't all live in a society where we can pop out to a shop and replace things in a trice, even if we can afford to do so. Minimalism does seem to require quite a lot of consumer confidence in society always having spare stuff you need available at the drop of a hat. My experiences over the past 15 months have shown me that isn't always the case.Better is good enough.9

Hi all
HB I am a bit of a minimalist, only because stuff and clutter sends my anxiety soaring. I do only have one spare set of bedding for each bed, but only 1 of the 3 beds here is slept in so we wouldnt be short.
Back in a big woolly jumper here and still cold! Paid stuff done, DH has just arrived home early because of the rain. We need food shopping.
Anyone else on here use My Fitness Pal? My doctor suggested that I keep a record of my diet and if the app is accurate then I am not eating enough calories or getting enough protein most days. Wondered how much you can rely on it.
Off to make a shopping list.9 -
Well I have eaten my last meal for 24 hours, I start the moviprep this evening.
Done my good deed for the day and picked up some meds for an aquaintance who, while living within walking distance of the pharmacy, has done his back in and been prescribed painkillers. So i drove to the pharmacy then to his home to drop them off.
I've also cleaned the living room and hall and stairs, slid the filing cabinet into postition and started the shuffle. My plan is to get the back bedroom straight then DD can arrange it to her liking.

Well that didn't last long, it seems OH has managed in an hour to get a medical qualification, he is now better qualified than his doctors
he thinks they don't know what is what, in relation to the times he has to take his tablets....................I'll say no more except a major argument ensued.

Kaz.. given the way my dad was dealt with while being treated for bowel cancer the last few years OH might actually be right!! The prescribed medication which could kill him if taken with one of the heart meds. His stoma saga was epic including the insanity when the GP surgery told him his stoma had been reversed!! It was a total mess. Could he call and get clarification if it will calm the situation and sort any confusion? Men just don't listen like we do.. they only hear what they want.

Interesting thoughts on minimalism. I have pruned my belongings significantly, I’m not sure I’m a minimalist but I certainly don’t have lots of stuff by any stretch of the imagination. My father died suddenly in his 40s, when I was in my early 20s, and my mum was too unwell to sort his belongings. Doing that stayed with me and I vowed never to burden others with the weight of my stuff to sort when I shuffle off this mortal coil. Different strokes for different folks and all that.
My feet are much better, thank you Valli. The kitchen has been put to bed, as have the hens and DS! Bed with a book for me now. The WM is on as it’s forecast to be a bright morning.
If Badcat is around, I hope you’re okay, missing your posts.
Sleep well all xx
