Send a copy of DCBL's letter justifying the added £70 to the SRA.

    https://www.sra.org.uk/consumers/problems/report-solicitor/

They know full well that this  is unlawful and in doing this they are attempting to obtains for their client which they, (thee client), has no entitlemnt.  have you complained to your MP?

Just in general - would you advise to send it ASAP or wait until case disposal?  I've started filling out their complaints document on my computer.

Thats putting it politely! 😆 I think there's been some turnover issues - their Senior Litigator has changed twice in the last year- not that they were any good . Do they give ALL their staff a "Paralegal" title regardless of qualifications, experience or ability?

The ticket was issued in Dec 2017 ..... At that time, the code of practice made no mention of debt collection charges or indeed any extra charges.  As such, signage at that time would only state the charge is £100

It is clear that Sarah-Jane Thompson-Mayers does not know what she is talking about.  She is getting very confused with the current code of practice which does mention debt collection charges but this add-on was only put in place so more companies could get a share of the action and it is not a law, just a BPA fabrication

She mentions about the costs of the client.   Well, we know that the debt collection firm offers a "no win no fee" so the PPC paid nothing.  We also know from the highest court in the land, the Supreme court in the Beavis v Parking Eye case, that the ruling was that the parking charge was set to cover the operation of the scheme.

Sarah-Jane might argue that in that case debt recovery costs were never mentioned. but, there was no need as the parking charge was in place to cover the operating costs which of course includes recovery

And to further confirm what others have said, Sarah-Jane added  .. "
Had you of paid as per the Contract" ........   Wake up Sarah-Jane of DCBL any contract, the signs in 2017, never mentioned the fake £70 add-on because the BPA had not invented this scam then

But what Sarah-Jane is doing is attempting to fool you and onwards to a court that she is practicing DOUBLE RECOVERY which in turn is ABUSE OF PROCESS

Let us hope that DCBL employ more people like Sarah-Jane, it will make our job easier and of the course any judge.

Not to forget the complete car crash of DCBL acting for VCS recently. It cost VCS £1000
Wonder who brought that stupid claim ???

  • It must be Christmas. Today I received the results of my SAR to AutoSec through the post. It's only taken since June 2018 and the intervention of the ICO for them to pull their finger out. The funny thing is that it only consists of the email thread, not the letter of appeal (which they have a copy of the email showing they signed for it), the PCN or any pictures.
There was also no Christmas Card or a covering letter.

    Another ICO complaint?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
