I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

holderness said:Being the kind type I let DCBL know a good few weeks ago that Autosec only had verbal agreements for at least two sites I know of in Hull and he had no legal standing to sue and I had written proof of that fact. A reputable solicitor would have told him to sling his hook. What they did was to tell me that although he only had a loose verbal arrangment with an unknown third party who works for the property managing agent that it would stand up in court against a lease or a tenancy agreement. Obviously rubbish. What really angers me is the high number of people who will have caved in to these threats and intimidation from DCBL. I really hope they do take me me court because I aslo know for a fact there is no love lost between Del Gross and the local newspaper (not a great PR move clamping the editors car a few years back)Jenni x1

I assume you have their response in writing? (Email is fine). Perhaps reproduce it here (copy/Paste - redact any personal info) so we can see what they exactly wrote?Jenni x1

@holderness - perhaps on your own thread. This isn't a general AutoSec/DCB Legal thread. It's about my pending proceedings.1

Sorry @Rodent3768 ... that's the problem when people jump in and inadvertently hijack a thread. 😶Jenni x1

I thought it was relevant to your thread, but never mind I've deleted it anyway0

I've not heard anything from DCB Legal or Autosec since I got an acknowledgement from DCB Legal for my email of mid August. Although they have put everything on hold until they hear back from Autosec I don't know whether to approach AutoSec/DCB Legal asking for them to settle out of court by paying me? Or would it poking them into action and something I should wait for court papers and issue a counter claim then?0

I’m guessing they’re pretty busy with paperwork linked to Autosec and his dodgy company escapades. Two choices really (imho) sit tight and let them do the running when they get around to it (us) or send mediation offers requiring vast amounts of paperwork and counterclaim offers. Tough one Hmm?1
