Morning all, it's a very dull and grey morning here in Scotland but it's supposed to brighten up and, wait for it, get warmer, from this afternoon onwards. Still catching up on posts but those strawberry tarts look amazing Bubbs!

Well all the damage limitation I did throughout last week definitely worked a lot better than I thought as I got a STS on Saturday!  I know what I've consumed the last few weeks so still don't really believe it and have this niggling doubt that it will catch up with me this week.  Was good to be back in a nearly normal class though and there were lots of people joining and returning.

    Today's plan -
B - ff Greek yoghurt, strawberries and raspberries
L - tuna or ham with huge salad
D - DS is cooking so some type of chilli thing with sweet potato wedges and more salad

    HEXA1 - milk for coffee
HEXA2 - possibly some parmesan for dinner
    HEXB - none planned
    Syns - salad cream 1.5

    Have a good day all

Morning all.  Weather is definitely better than yesterday.  Machine load in the WM which will be ready to hang out in about 10 minutes.  Just time to have a coffee - saves on milk because I drink it black.

Have made a bowl of sweet and salty popcorn.  Used 50g so 10 syns for the lot.  I’m always good when I make popcorn and just weigh out 5g at a time.  No doubt it won’t last as long as usual as it’s usually plain so DH doesn’t dive into it!

    Today’s plan:

    B - breakfast hash, topped with eggs - P, S, F
    L - 2 pea soup - S, F
    D - butternut squash, swede and chickpea tagine, couscous - P, S, F
    S - strawberry tart! HEB, 1

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
    Syns - jelly 1

    Well done @klew. That's a really good loss! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'd happily settle for STS @Jellybaby. Just keep sticking to plan and any gains will even themselves out.

Do you roast a batch of tomatoes @ruby_eskimo for your lunches? I love tomatoes so would like to know how you do them.

And @bubbs, I know you've posted it before but would you tell me again the recipe for the monster Yorkshire pudding?

Unless something unexpected crops up then I should be totally in control of my food this week as we have no plans to eat out. I don't have any synful recipes on the meal plan either so all good. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup, banana (F) HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- ham (P), fried veg and beetroot (S), potato? (F)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), carrots, spiced cauli, TS broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0

Thanks for posting that offer @bubbs, may have to make a trip out and see if I can pick one up as I'm almost out of mascara.

I roast a batch every day @maman because it takes 30 seconds to put them on and then I can still finish some work up.  Basically put at least 9 cherry tomatoes in an oven safe dish (I use a square glass one from Ikea), spray some frylight on them, add a pinch of basil and oregano and toss them around, and put in the oven for 20-25 minutes (I have mine on about 200 degree).  They keep their shape mostly and don't go to mush, any longer and I think you'd be in a bit of trouble.  Makes them taste sweeter and nicer and just the contrast between the crunch toast, the sweet tomatoes and the cool cream cheese is really nice.  I must admit I was inspired by someone on IG who posted about it, but they were using ricotta which I can't really stand, so adapted it for my own liking.  Topped it with a very small drizzle of balsamic today which added a nice tartness to the whole thing 😋

Thanks @ruby_eskimo. I often do roasted tomatoes as a side with fish or chicken and jazzing them up with some herbs will make a nice change although I must try them on toast too. 😋

Thanks for the Yorkshire recipe too @bubbs. I'll make a note of it this time. 😊

Not sure I've made the strawberry tarts right bubbs!  Mine don't look anything like yours!  My mixture seemed really wet so assume I put too much egg in - I just squidged it into the cake dips - think I would have been better using my proper tart tins but forgot I had them as haven't used them for years as haven't made tarts since I started SW!  What texture is the "pastry" supposed to me?
