Morning all, weather was good this morning so got the bedding washed & dried in a couple of hours on the line - it was very windy which helped.  Glad got it in about half hour ago as it's raining now!

Well done on your loss TIE.  Chicken was a bargain, well done of grabbing a couple of packs - think I may well have been a bit greedier and grabbed another couple too!

Going to get the fridge/icebox in the van packed this afternoon so I don't have to worry about it in the morning before we leave.  It'll be nice and cold as we put in on as soon as we got back on Thursday.  Need to write out menu plan to put in the van as well - we probably won't stick to it but at least we'll have at least some SW friendly meals; will also eat out a couple of times but will try to be good as would really like to come back without putting on.  If I can STS I'll be happy.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; 2 (no beans today!)
    L - cheese salad sandwich - HEA2; HEB; S; 1
    D - coq au vin; mash; veg - P; S; F; 1.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 1; red wine 1.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done on your loss @TakeItEazy.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I expect you're more in control of your food during school holidays.

Not sure where you're off to @joedenise but around here the weather is supposed to be picking up after some rain tomorrow. Hope you're lucky and if you do eat out that the food's worth having this week!! 🤣 I watched that Paul Merton motorhome programme last night. I thought it was a very amateurish presentation, with very stilted conversation between him and his wife. You might know some of the sites he visited across the south east though.

I need to portion up the Delia's red cabbage for the freezer. It was a large cabbage this time so probably get loads of portions out of it.  Next I need to make some Bolognese as I'm down to one meal left and also some pouches of brown rice.  I enjoy pottering around in the kitchen when I'm in the mood and then it saves time when I'm not! 😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried eggs and bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P) and beetroot (S)
D- roast chicken (P), LM stuffing, roast potatoes (F), many veg (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊

We off nearer to you maman!  New Milton from tomorrow until Friday and then Lymington for the weekend.

I watched that motorhoming programme too; as you say very amateurish and didn't do anything to enhance the reputation of motorhomers!  The place where they stopped in Whitstable was in a No Parking zone!!!  There isn't really anywhere to park a motorhome legally down there - it's murder even finding a car parking space at times!

No idea where the so called Wild Camping spot was.  Wild camping spots aren't generally signposted, LOL!

Some of the continuity in it was a bit carp too.

Don't know if we'll watch the next one.  DH probably won't want to but he didn't see this week's episode because he was at the golf club AGM.  I wouldn't rule out watching it again though.

Well done @bubbs. That's 6 syns and maybe more if you have ice cream later. It has to be worth a try having a few each day.

Thanks for the heads up on the UB sweet and sour sauce. I'm OK at the moment as I don't use a whole jar each time. I'd certainly recommend it as a quick, easy meal though and I always add extra Speed.

Have a good time @joedenise. The weather should be kind to you. I was only thinking this week that we've not been to the market in Lymington for a while. Although I don't know Whitstable, I was surprised that they could just park the motor home so easily anywhere. Most seaside places are bad enough with a car. 🤣
  • Well done TIE, I love a loss! Met some friends for lunch, not bad on syns, but ate too much. Went to an Iraqi restaurant in Kingston, only a small restaurant, but very busy, mostly Arabs, so indicative of the food, was fantastic, ate a bit more bread than I should have, but it was divine, we couldn’t work out what flavour was in it, but didn’t care!. Will have to pull it back, lord help me😱

That sounds like a good afternoon out @bubbs. 😁Our company shop opens on Wednesday. I might go and get my membership sorted out and stay if it's not too busy. It's hard to tell how many people will have heard of it in advance. I wouldn't have known if you hadn't told me about it. 👏
