Chinese looks amazing @bubbs. Great idea to have a take away on Christmas Eve. I think it's a tradition that DH and I should copy! 🤔

I didn't manage to post yesterday but stayed 100% on plan with the exception of a M&S marzipan chocolate bar for 8.5 syns. I reckoned it was safer SW treat than opening a bottle! 🤣

Today's food is very much like a normal weekend. I've had a SW breakfast (scrambled eggs) and lunch ( JP with cottage cheese).  We're having gammon with chips and cauliflower and broccoli cheese for dinner. Normally I can do the cheese sauce for 1 syn of cornflour plus HEXs for milk and cheese but today I just did the cheese by eye as it's Christmas.🎄

All the veg is prepped ready for tomorrow. DD1 and DGD1 are coming for lunch ( well, mid afternoon meal whatever that's called) so the timetable is quite relaxed. I will actually write a timetable later for what time everything needs to be cooked then I use my phone timer  to call me back to the kitchen when needed.

I'm going to have lots of treats over the next few days but they're all planned so won't be having anything I don't really love. Syns are to be savoured! I've lined up some stuffing with breadcrumbs, cheeses, crackers (1 syn ones form M&S @bubbs), cherry liqueurs, pudding with cream, crisps and some extra bread for turkey sandwiches and copious wine syns! 😁 Most of that will be tomorrow and Boxing Day and then when visitors leave food will get more SW friendly. I'll send them home with anything I don't want to tempt me.

Hoping to get some Body Magic in with walks in fresh air. I did a nice long walk with friends yesterday but today has been wet and murky so just sent DH out for bread and lettuce while I got everything prepped. I even managed to make a big pot of lentil soup from the gammon stock but will have to portion it for the freezer later as I need the saucepan! 🤣

Happy Christmas to you all. This is a lovely thread and I really value my virtual friends. ❤🎄

    Evening all and Merry Christmas!

Sorry to put a dampener on everything but even though it’s Christmas I feel really depressed! I used to go to group and stopped going when 1st lockdown started and groups moved to zoom. I did struggle in the last few weeks before this, having previously been at target. I gave out on so much weight, clothes I bought when I lost the weight before no longer fit me. My Mom has commented to me about my weight gain. Last night when bringing the gifts round, she has send us a tin of chocolates each (there’s 4 of us), 4 boxes of mince pies and 2 boxes of M&S biscuits, despite being told previously not to, in addition to stuff we’ve already got. I just feel totally demotivated. I am not sure if I want to rejoin group as my options are limited.

    I just need encouragement ❤️ x

Sorry to hear you're feeling so down @Abbafan1972.  Can you give the chocolates and biscuits to the food bank so you aren't tempted by them.  It seems counter productive of your mum to give you them having commented about your weight.

If you really don't want to rejoin a group could you get back on plan using your books and use this thread to help keep track!  I would just say that there are new books being issued to everyone joining and current members who attend group between Christmas and 15 January.

Good luck with getting back on plan and losing the weight again - you've done it once so you know that SW works.
