Definitely a cucumber @lushlifesaver .  My dad used to grow them like that when I was a kid - they can be slightly bitter when they're knobbly like that.

Just checked and that's 14 syns for the 7 Celebrations. Could have been far worse. Less than a day's syns. 🤔🤣

Morning all, a grey dreich day here.  Made the mistake of running to the post office to collect a parcel when it was very obviously school run time!

It's use up day before I go shopping tomorrow and the fridge is looking pretty bare.  Will give it a clean when I finish work and will have another go at doing a freezer and cupboard inventory.  I start these with good intentions then a few weeks in, lose all interest and motivation.  The possibility of early retirement will be my incentive

Breakfast will be toast HEXB with jam 2 syns, omelette with ham, mushrooms and red pepper for lunch and dinner will be chicken fajitas with loads of veg (I don't normally have the wraps).

    Have a good day!

I don't keep a cupboard inventory @Jellybaby but I try to check regularly and replace anything we use ASAP. I know this week I used the last of the lazy garlic so that's on today's list.

I'm much more organised with the freezers though. With practice, I've got very good at keeping it up to date. I've got two under counter freezers with 4 drawers in each. Having a bread drawer, fish drawer etc really helps too and when I want to refresh the list it's easy to just check a drawer at a time. My inventory is handwritten and when there's a lot of crossing out I know it's time for a sort out! 🤣

I'm hoping to fit my food shopping in between lunch and going to football tonight. I'll take my list with me and hope we have time for a quick whizz around Aldi on the way home from the pub.

I've had scrambled eggs on toast this this morning so will report back later on how the rest of the day goes.

Morning all, or should that we afternoon all as it's just gone 12!

WI wasn't good this morning and I'm out of target and I can't get to group next week as I've got an appointment to have my injection for my shoulder at the time I should be at group.  Don't think I can get back in target by Wednesday which is when the only fairly local group is in the morning but I'll weigh at home and see.  If not then I may well just stop going to group at least until a few weeks after my holiday, probably February!

I've also lost access to the website and it's not accepting my card number and PIN.  Will see if it get accepted later this evening after my consultant has done her paperwork!  That's what I ended up having to do last time.

Been shopping this morning so didn't get anything to eat until about half hour ago.

    So today's plan:

    B/L - ham and egg sandwich - HEB; P; 3.5
    D - KFC - chicken, chips, corn on the cob, beans - P; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 3.5

May well want something between now and dinner tonight but will try and make it something Speedy - original plan was to have stuffed pepper!

    Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all.  Belated birthday wishes @bubbs and hope you enjoy your picky tea!  Sounds like it may be a good idea to stop group for the time being @joedenise and you know the plan inside and out anyway.

Had a busy day in the office yesterday and ended up getting home late and just eating some biscuits for dinner 😏  Wasn't too hungry this morning so didn't have breakfast but had a big rice bowl for lunch with some peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion and then chucked a couple of veggie burgers in with it with a few bits of kimchi.  Quite a mix but used up some odds and ends and tasted really nice.  Dinner tonight is fake kebab as per DH's request so will have some salad and chips with that and DH picked up some flatbreads so might have one of those with it too.  But that might be all out of the window as FiL is stopping by this evening on his way home from an outing and he did mention about going out for dinner maybe.

Have a joint housewarming / birthday party tomorrow evening and it's apparently a black tie theme so need to try and find a dress that fits to wear 😏  It's only 5 minutes up the road from us so we'll be walking there and back and consuming a few alcoholic beverages.  Hope you all have a good weekend and I'll catch up with you all next week.

The most I've eve been out - 1.5lb over top end.  Don't think I can lose that much by Wednesday🤣🤣🤣 but we'll see.  According my scales I wasn't that far out but hey ho!  Will weigh again at home Wednesday and then decide whether it's worth the risk.

Chicken and chips are in the oven now - certainly need dinner a bit earlier tonight with not having had a lot to eat today.

That's infuriating @joedenise but nothing much you can do about it other than do your best until Wednesday. 🤞

I had courgette fritters (deep fried) for lunch followed by linguine with pesto. Just some oil and a few olives with the pasta but the batter probably had masses of syns in my starter. On the positive side, no alcohol as lunchtime drinking makes me sleepy and we're off to football later. I'll probably have a bite of Crunchie and that'll be it for today. If I am hungry tonight then I have ham and beetroot to snack on.

    Back on plan tomorrow. 😊
