  • thank you everyone, like I say though I was ill so not sure it's a true loss. the shiny sticker to add to my book felt good though!
I got slimmer of the week and the basket included a random vegetable which I can't identify - I presume from someone's garden or allotment maybe

    happy birthday @bubbs

over syns today but I'm not worrying about it. about to have an options hot chocolate to finish the day then tomorrow is a new day

quick question - I got cottage cheese from Aldi on Monday and already the top is all puffed up/blown although there's another 4 days on the date and it is unopened...what would you all do?

Morning all, up early again this morning as couldn't get back to sleep when DH got up.

Thanks for the heads up about the brisket @bubbs, will have a look when I go shopping on Friday.  Will also have a look at the steaks.

@lushlifesaver - I'd take it back.  There's no way the top should be blown when you've only had it a couple of days and there's still 4 days to. go.  Can you post a photo of the unidentifiable vegetable and perhaps someone on here will be able to identify it for you?

Going to book my Eurotunnel and ferry tickets today for next year as my  credit voucher runs out tomorrow from not being able to travel to France last year.  I've also got £90 worth of Tesco Eurotunnel vouchers so hopefully I won't have much if anything to pay to book for 2 holidays!

    Today's plan:

    B - Linda McCartney Red Onion and Rosemary sausage & onion sandwich - HEB; S; F; 1
    L - jacket potato; beans; salad - S; F
    D - lamb hotpot, green veg - P; S; F; 0.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - brown sauce 1; cornflour 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Later than usual check in as I met up with friends for a supposedly quick coffee and three hours later........   anyway had a brown roll on bacon with brown sauce and it just hit the spot!  I can't eat butter and took the small amount of fat off the bacon so I'm counting that as a win :)

    Belated happy birthday Bubbs!

Nothing for lunch as I'm not hungry.  Forgot to take chicken out of the freezer for dinner so it may be chilli with rice or baked potato.

If it's not out of your way I'd take the cottage cheese back too @lushlifesaver. It might be OK but probably not worth the risk. It doesn't happen often but when I've needed to take stuff back to Aldi they're very good. I'm intrigued by this mystery vegetable too.🤔

You could count the roll as your HEB @Jellybaby . Possibly it's only brown rather than wholemeal but you'd probably get away with it.

I've been having a German rye bread  from Waitrose for my HEB recently. I love the taste and it's actually less than a full portion (50g per slice rather than 60g) so if I wanted bread again any day then it's not too many syns. This is a replacement for the wholemeal Irish soda bread that I loved but seems to have disappeared completely from Sainsbury's and Waitrose to be replaced by just brown. 🤔

Hope you get your holiday bookings sorted @joedenise. It seems like an eternity since we went anywhere.

I probably came in under a full bank of syns last week. Eating out last night I had prawn cocktail followed by sea bass. So, syns in the Marie Rose sauce and fries with my fish and then some wine syns but not excessive amounts. New week of 105 from today. Out for lunch tomorrow but then a fairly clear week so hopeful I'm STS if not losing a little. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S)
L- LO corned beef hash (P,F,S), pickles (S), fried egg (P)
D- sausages, SW chips, baked beans (F), carrot chips, onions, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- BGTY sausages 2

    Afternoon all
pleased to report I’ve chased the lurgy off 😂 I’m still a little bit snotty (sorry for tmi) and I’m letting out the odd cough but I’m 100 times better than I was. Fatigue is really bad today but that’s not surprising- spent the last two days wrapping Christmas presents, I’ve wrapped all 68 of them in two days!

I’m hibernating indoors though. Was supposed to be away twice next week- but one gig has been rescheduled and another is still going ahead but my sister isn’t very well so I’m giving the tickets to my niece instead. I am however away the following week overnight- I’m very excited! Ronan Keating is doing an album signing at HMV in Meadowhall so I’m off there- I have a ticket  Gives me longer to fully recuperate anyway.

I’m going to stay overnight in Sheffield as the signing isn’t until 4pm and heaven only knows what time I will get in. I’m really chuffed as I had meet and greet for his tour but then they moved the damn show to another venue and I lost my meet and greet. I’m also hoping for a mooch round the shops there as well.
I’ll miss my group but I’ve managed to find a group local to where I’m staying in Sheffield that’s right near a tram stop- I’m going to go and weigh there. I am very much hoping that I will get my 2 stone award that day as my blood test is the following day.

Today’s food is literally what I’ve managed to scrape together from the freezer/cupboard :D I’ve got an Iceland delivery coming tomorrow with my SW meal pots and some fresh meat and then a Click and Collect from Morrison’s on Saturday. I have to go out Saturday as I need to pick up a parcel but I’m trying to be outside as little as possible. I have a prescription to collect and something to post tomorrow but I’ve given OH my ticket to the rugby for tomorrow so I’m going to ask him nicely if he would mind going for me :D

    Today’s food:
    B: Bacon butty (HEXB + 6)
L: SW lunch pot and veg
D- SW burgers, couscous (0.5) veg. Chocolate (4.5)
    S: Crisps (6.5)
    Syns: 17.5

    lots of love xx
