Oh that baked apple looks delicious Bubbs!

Yesterday I decided to buy scales as now having to provide more support to my parents I’m not sure when I’ll get back to class. I’ll need to rejoin and I don’t want to start at one group then have to chop and change classes.  Anyway the new scales declared I’m two pounds heavier and my mum’s scales are wrong  :'( I even had DS trying both and the new ones are correct.

Today’s food has been a bit ‘who cares’ but I’ve drawn a line and normal service will resume.

Oh Denise, hope everyone behaves and you have a lovely holiday.

Did you say it's this week you go about your shoulder?
Yes.  I've got an appointment tomorrow evening.  Going to have to have a very early dinner as need to leave about 5.30pm!

🤞for the cheaper option @joedenise with your shoulder. Not just for the money, of course, but because it's a less invasive procedure.

Scales vary so much @Jellybaby. They're just numbers, but now you know what you're working from. Now you're not going to a group, just keep posting and ask for any syn values or anything else you need to know.

Not heard from @TakeItEazy or @Suffolksue for a few weeks. They normally check in at weekends. Hope you're both OK if you're lurking. 😊

Sorry to hear you've been unwell recently @Suffolksue, wee infections can be so painful.  Well done on maintaining while you've been unwell.

Thought I'd just pop on while breakfast is cooking and post my menu for today:

    B - Almond baked oats; mixed fruit; yoghurt - HEB; P; S; F; 1
    L - leek and barley soup (from freezer) - S; F
    D - chana masala, rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
    Syns - flaked almonds 1

Just realised it's a Green day so could have another HEA and HEB if I wanted but will wait and see.  May need something this evening with having dinner early - need to have it about 5pm!

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, hope your appointment goes well this evening @joedenise.    Beginning to brighten up here but still damp with a cold wind.

Feeling quite enthusiastic and motivated this morning!  Today's plan:

B - 45g bran flakes HEXB, Muller Greek yoghurt, strawberries and raspberries
L - Halloumi HEXA1 (and possibly 2), huge salad and pickles
D - SW sausages, homemade chips and beans
Syns - 0.5 yoghurt, 2 beetroot in dressing

I don't really enjoy my coffee black but need the HEXA for halloumi that needs using up.  Similar to SW sausages, won't buy again but using up in MSE style

    Have a good day all.
  • I may have had pizza last night! But you what, I don't care, it was delicious, it is a small Sicilian restaurant, only holds about 20 people, so very authentic, apparently been there about 40 years, so clearly has a good standard. It is in a little side street and was obviously impacted by closures, but has also got the added problem of the road now being a LTN, so people cannot be bothered to go there now, which is a shame.

On the plus side for my syns, we turned down extra! Waitress asked if we wanted some to take with us, they had an order for 8 pizzas which did not get collected!

Have a good week everyone, good luck this evening Denise.
